I can't speak for Italy but in France examples of people not respecting lockdown guidelines are distorted by media attention (and there's a shaming element to it). Yes it happens. Yes there's some people "fleeing" to the countryside which is stupid and counterproductive. Yes there's grey areas (like the Paris open air markets). But overall, my anecdotal opinion -and keep in mind I'm out everyday to work, I take transports, I go to shops- is that activity outside is orders of magnitude less than usual. Public transport stats confirm this. The goal of the lockdown is to dramatically limit the opportunities for infection on a national scale and globally this is what happens. I'm sure Italians are the same, all the more with the horrific number of fatalities. But there's no accounting for inconsiderate bellends anywhere, of course.

Could this be a cultural issue? Perhaps it's in their genes. In any case, this merits investigation and should be addressed, they need to be civilized.

The masks in Czechia were seized as part of a crackdown on gougers. They only realized later that part of them were aid from China meant for Italy. It's being rectified.

Italy less bad than yesterday for new cases and deaths. Hopefully it continues.
Spain not good.
USA new cases still soaring.
Iran and France, not great but it plateaud for a couple of days.
Switzerland has a lot of cases relative to size.

they wouldn't send my mum's meds. I had to go in and it was something about one of them needing to be stored in refrigeration and there was a conflict with some new pill that causes heart murmurs when coupled with nudexta. the refrigeration is only necessary for transport, once we get it home it's not required. both issues seem like they could have been worked out online or over the phone

Lots of probably infected people from a cruise ship flew back to the US and were allowed to leave/continue to travel without testing or being quarantined.
