The National Multifamily Housing Council says 31% of renters didn't make their payment in the first week of April. Normally, about 20% of people don't pay their rent on time. The group tracks more than 13 million units through its survey.
"If the rent payments drop off significantly, they won't be able to pay their staffs, they won't be able to pay their mortgages, they won't be able to pay their utilities," Bibby says. "They won't be able to pay the managers who manage their properties for them."I just see this cascading out throughout the whole system and just exacerbating the unemployment problem and the dislocation problem," he adds.

There's absolutely nothing I can do to change anything, and daily totals are misleading because they fluctuate so a smoothed average would be better, and I still find myself checking Worldometers and stressing myself out unnecessarily every couple hours.

The index case of an epidemic is different from "the first person who got it".
As far back as late November, U.S. intelligence officials were warning that a contagion was sweeping through China’s Wuhan region, changing the patterns of life and business and posing a threat to the population, according to four sources briefed on the secret reporting. (...) "Analysts concluded it could be a cataclysmic event"
If this is how America responds to a natural epidemic imagine how badly they would get steamrolled by actual biological warfare.
Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein said the military may consider preventing troops from moving to new orders or coming home from overseas as late as August.
MONTREAL ― More than one million jobs disappeared in Canada in March, according to the monthly labour force survey from Statistics Canada, pushing the jobless rate to 7.8 per cent. The data showed another two million Canadians who still have work have seen their hours cut. Of those, 800,000 have seen their hours cut to zero.

I'll say without going into gory details; having a pet nearly die during this sucked ass. Had to drop him off, couldn't see him at all, if we did have to put him down there's questions of whether we can even be there (might have to soon), etc.
PM and the modeling press conferences had very annoying reporter questions. Every second question was 'How long is this going to last?' and the PM kind of got boxed into saying a year to year-and-a-half at least and that's only if people take is seriously now and we will not be going back to normal until we have a vaccine.
Individuals with age <65 account for 5%-9% of all COVID-19 deaths in the 8 European epicenters, and approach 30% in three US hotbed locations.
Alternatively phrased, individuals <65 years old had 34-73 fold lower risk of COVID-19 death than older individuals. For New York City, Louisiana and Michigan, the difference was somewhat smaller, with those <65 years old having 13-15 fold smaller risk of dying than older individuals.
