Then I saw him trying to help the waitress trying to open the bag she clearly knew how to do, for my meal.

Man, I'm cutting off so many friends after Covid is over because people are really showing their ass in this.

Like I get some people I know who believe pedo pizza conspiracies and think bill gates is gonna microchip you. They tend to be pretty dumb. Or that one right-wing OANN guy who just shouts everything far crazy right he hears and is anti-vax.

But like I looked at one of our social group chats today and saw a friend whose a fairly intelligent, generally left-leaning, though not super liberal and still very white privileged living in a conservative area, person say that the hospital they are a splinter from (she does social services stuff) sent out a memo today about them getting the vaccines soon and procedure for getting vaccinated. And she's all yeah, I'm gonna decline, I'm not anti-vax, but vaccines normal take a decade and this one was obviously rushed so I don't trust it.

As someone that wants to get the vaccine and get family vaccinated and will have to wait and make it through the upcoming months until we can, that shit irks me. Like read some damn articles. I can't believe how many people parrot that "vaccine is TOO GOOD & TOO FAST it must be bad!" line. I kinda blame the media for the early fear mongering that it could take years until a vaccine is ready.
