Wow, fuck em. 4K UHD HDR Blu-Ray's still offers the best image quality on my OLED. The difference between physical and streaming 4K content is significant especially due to the circumstances involving COVID-19  .
It also ends the nice run of remasters Fox had started for their movies, including X-Men, Die Hard and other such properties. They were sort of trickling them out so not that many have been released yet but the quality was great
plus they were cheaper than average new 4K HDR movies. Guess I will have to hunt down a few copies of what has been released and is not yet in my collection before prices go up or maybe Disney issues a recall.

In Europe Disney+ streaming quality is 'meh' compared to Netflix, which is doing a much better job with technologies such as Dolby Vision.

Literally just came across “folx” for the first time about 10 minutes ago in a work email. Thought it was a typo at first, then they just kept using it... how the hell does adding an X in there make it more inclusive?

I can appreciate it’s an unusual one but the thought behind it is that it’s explicitly inclusive. Meaning people who choose to use folx are doing so to purposefully indicate they’re aiming to be inclusive of all minorities. As opposed to it being more ambiguous as to if the speaker is intending to or not. So instead of neutral it moves toward something active with open intent.

How is using folks not active indication of inclusivity? Using folx just indicates you are either lazy, leet, or can’t spell to the vast majority of the population. Folks is already actively not using “guys” or other gendered language.

I thought it was pretty clear from that post, not sure what the confusion is. People use it to specifically indicate they’re aiming to be inclusive, where use of folks is still ambiguous as to if that intent was in mind.

'Folks' is a very common term used by anyone, including bigots who aren't accepting of those who are gender queer/nonbinary/etc.  'Folx' is like holding a neon sign that shows you are purposely being inclusive of all individuals, not just binary/cis men and women.

Isn't this, and I can't believe I'm using this word, kinda what's called virtue signaling? It makes 0 difference besides the speaking pointing out they're being inclusive.

If you feel a need to put some deprecating label on it? It’s just what some people use so others know immediately that they’re being included. Yes, each country has their own FDA, or government agency that will approve drugs or vaccines for domestic use. They can also offer emergency approval to targeted demographics before official approval if they think it's warranted. A number of drugs and treatments are under emergency approval right now fighting coronavirus. Which is why I rolled my eyes at the idea of the Russians or anybody else trying to 'steal' information on vaccine production when that was reported a month or two ago. We should encourage collaboration whenever possible, this fucking novel coronavirus is affecting everyone on the planet. You might have other countries already having a previous agreement to start production and distributing to their own citizens as well.
