Piracy in the sense of people downloading the ROM, instead of bothering to rip their old games, yeah.
But i mean people mostly emulate old games, many merely for nostalgia (so games they owned at some point), and then a percentage of it goes to emulating old games you didn't own, but that are hard to find anyway, because particularly old.

I never understood people bending over backwards to pay 180$ on ebay for a copy of a game they could get a rom of, on an ethical level, it's not like the developers are seeing a dime, even if you think Nintendo is struggling for those 30 years old revenue streams.

Emulation of contemporary games seems like a minor thing, since emulators for modern consoles are mostly garbage.

Personally 90% of the retrogaming i've done was for nostalgia, playing games i owned.
But then again i'm not into old (SNES and prior) games in the first place.

Black Clover has 17 "filler" episodes out of 170 episodes and most of them are interesting and relevant to the plot. Having "filler" is such a tired and ignorant reason not to recommend a series. You don't like Black Clover? Fine, but I'm sick and tired of everyone dismissing otherwise great series because of "filler." If you don't read manga (which a large majority of western anime viewers do not), then what is in the manga is completely irrelevant to your enjoyment of the anime. Manga readers hate filler for the sole reason that they want to feel superior and act as if the manga is the "true story" and whatever other bullshit. Nah, anime original content adds more to the characters and worlds that you love and allows manga content that is adapted to be paced well. Look at One Piece for a fantastic example of what happens when you try to avoid anime original content. There's a reason Japan has the exact opposite opinion of angry weebs on the internet when it comes to anime original content and the western anime community is so toxic that I don't blame Japan for not giving two shits what "we" want.
