In 2020, Random twitch/youtubers Streamers are closer and more relevant to the gaming industry than 20+ years veteran gaming journalists.

Why waste marketing budget and time on tired gaming journos with very limited gaming skills who will write a couple of text articles basically recycling press releases  and do a weekly podcast where they talk about your game between marvel movies discussions while you can generate a couple of early access codes to 50 streamers and have your game played for WEEKS by elite gamers, 12 hours a day in front of captive audiences

Amy Klobuchar was on Joe's latest ep of Here's the Deal and the podcast was actually pretty good (shaky delievery aside-these are clearly people that are used to being interviewed for media, not doing the interviewing).

It was a great listen. Two really salt of the earth people who are at times a jumble of messages, but that doesn't matter because being real feel better right now than having poise (except for Obama, who effortlessly manages both). No matter what capacity Klobuchar is going to be for Joe's campaign, she's a valuable surrogate who can talk real about COVID-19 and Trump's failures in a way ( her husband got SUPER sick ) that's almost impossible to directly counterattack.
