Accessibility != Difficulty.
Weird how the people who literally write for a living managed to conflate Accessibility, Complexity and Difficulty into all being synonyms, and all at around the same time they started getting dunked on for being shit at a major part of their job so that they could turn around and say "Hey, look at all these GAMERGATERS harassing THE DISABLED"

Accessibility:
- Providing subtitles
- Not relying on purely colour to signify information but shape as well and not using low contrast colours or shades that can't be discerned by various types of colour blindness
- Remappable controls
Difficulty:
- Reflexive skill checks (eg 'input windows')
- Player resource management (eg distribution of healthpacks / ammo)
- Damage : Health ratios for Player vs NPC
Complexity:
- Genre specific mechanics (eg Last-hitting, Kiting, Circle strafing, Cross-ups, Resource denial)
- Memorisation tests (eg crafting recipes, elemental weakness types, input strings)
- Systemic inter-relationships (eg 'aggro management', Min-maxing build guides)
In a venn diagram some stuff might meet in the middle, but you're talking about three different areas and anyone
being paid to write about this shit should have enough fucking common sense to realise that
