Hello my fellow errata, and welcome to our (now monthly) State Of Disunion address.
We have seen many problems occur, so here are the words that will change nothing.
1) We have seen the repeated calls for transparency, and in the spirit of that, we held a secret meeting and concluded we won't change that.
No, you cannot see the reasoning, the arguments put forward on either side or the manner in which that was decided.
2) We've heard the complaints about the Heinz 57 Varieties of Americans talking over non-US posters, or declaring their views as a monolithic truth, so we will continue to ban people from other continents - especially Europe - saying that things aren't like that outside America, and will continue to use racial slurs because our minority-american users think that thats really important to bring to a discussion apparently, even if its straight up hate speech in other territories.
3) We acknowledge criticism about cliques being able to shut down valid discussion, so for that reason we will be holding an invite only roundtable with selected prominent members on how best they would like to be treated when people disagree with them.
4) There seems to be some animosity towards moderation, and an "us versus them" siege mentality because moderators can say whatever they want without fear of repercussion and the majority of posters will never receive the benefit of the doubt, and moderators will always back each other up. To this I would just like to say, call me a cop again muthafucker, and get banned.
In conclusion, we care deeply about what you have to say, and if you have any problems feel free to PM a mod captain. PM a mod captain right up your fucking ass, you worthless piece of shit.
