Dreams was a well made stupid idea.
A piece of software
that free, ends up being a shackle, because on the wrong platform.
If i need to spend 200 hours creating a project, i want proper tools (like a keyboard and a mouse) and distribution channels/monetization - so i'd probably just fuck around with Blender and UE4/Unity.
If it wants to be a game, then it needs tight and well understood design rules, like a Mario Make can have, being only 2D, and based on Super Mario rules (probably the most videogame in history).
Just going out and saying: "do whatever you want" will just generate a metric ton of unfinished wanna-be-grandiose pieces of shit, and a bunch of nice things lost in the shuffle.
EDIT: I know this posts just reiterates points already made in this very page, but just in case you have everybody else but me in ignore.
