We reopened this thread because we felt that this was an important conversation to be had, but the fact is that the thread has resulted in a circular argument that only serves to annoy and agitate minority members of the forum. As such, we feel it is time to lock the thread permanently.

I think SE and Yoshi-P are doing a poor job of enabling this kind of behavior and thus should also answer of why they allowed Asmon into the game. Couldn't they just ban him outright or are they supporting this kind of character?

I like this idea of banning people for things they said somewhere else. The entire internet would fall into chaos. All the better that this member is straight up blaming Square Enix for not doing it.

Honestly I have gone off all of breadtube. I could totally be proven wrong, but this is a pretty big discussion to have, not just between the mods but also us. Do we ban all discussion of Blizzard/Acti, Ubisoft, Insomniac maybe ff14 since one woman said its not much different at Square and probably a lot of other devs, big and small.

I don't have a problem, if we ban all those companies and more, but that is a bigger discussion we should have and the mods are hopefully working on it, but if we don't here anything about it in the next few days, we should definitely start to wonder why not, but in the meantime it's not like anyone here is making new threads about Blizzard games anyways.

when you're like hey I have a problem fixing this thing or I'm stuck in this game or I need good recommendations for something, you can google it and often a forum post from 4 years ago has your answer

you can't globally search all discords like that

a lot of articles are more bullshit/bias than when you end up on a random forum full of regular people
