I was awake when the video of the CNN crew being arrested was posted and I have to say that was honestly the most chilling thing I have ever seen outcof the US. Hundreds of police officers were standing around in tactical gear and just lead national news journalists away in plastic handcuffs like they're looters or something.

If you ever need to point to a reason why so many think the whole system is broken, that's a perfect example. Law enforcement has no fear of being held accountable.

I had to do a double take today that there are people that feel and genuinely believe, that black people in the United States haven't been diligently attempting peaceful and thoughtful forms of protest and discussion to improve conditions for themselves in the United States since the fucking 1800's. That this entire time, black people, impoverished people, minorities, have been dwindling thumbs, and needed great ole whitey to add some sense to the conversation.
