I don’t remember the last time anything has gone viral without either TikTok or Twitter. Nobody was checking Facebook when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock.

The importance of Twitter is all about the speed of information access. That’s why Musk wants it and will likely try to better monetize it. (Plus I’m not so keen on Elon as others and I absolutely wouldn’t put it past him to be doing this to buy the Meta data and login credentials of everyone who has ever said a mean thing about him.)

The same thing happens with the healthcare industries or pro-union campaigns.

The corporate media is against any democratizing force which does not bow to the rights of corporate power.

Journalists who antagonize or report on these things are labeled as fringe. Powerful institutions work to defame and limit the careers of people who actually try to do real damage to corporate power.

I'll note I didn't report the post at the time so the sense was obviously shared by others, which is why I wasn't surprised with the response. The line of posts around trans women in prisons wasn't the best precursor to the current question either.

 

Seems an unfortunate coincidence where the positioning of their questions runs in the same vein as those who are less genuine. I don't have the time or the desire to go searching the socials of everyone who seems sus so didn't really question it, especially over someone effectively seeking validation in supporting someone from those they harm. Isn't incumbent upon us to give the all clear for people to engage with Harry Potter.
