That thread is extremely weird.  A bulk of the later pages are current and former staff taking valid concerns and exaggerating them so they can't be taken seriously, or zeroing in on some absurd concerns and framing them as the norm.

What the staff isn't or barely acknowledging is the concerns about the new owner such as their history with shady casino sites and conservative-leaning forums, the fact the new owner's mission statement regarding growth directly contradicts the staff's assurance that "nothing will change", the motivations behind the sale including the M&A's bankers suspicions about the low price, the words of some involved with the site not being the most positive (logo designer, Mod Pau stepping down precisely because of the deal, the original admins as relayed through Emily Rogers on a separate site). 

Forget about the staff not getting paid, there are bigger issues at here that the staff seem to be distracting from at any opportunity they can get by being big old goofballs and pretending they have a personality.  It's like there's a concerted effort to make sure as little of that appears on the most recent page as possible.  Funnily enough, a good chunk of that was in the thread Seik made, which is now locked and off the 1st page.

Is not weird if you understand that is how their social circle has operated since Gaf days. Is just not working anymore because they don’t have the benefit of the doubt and the sale itself is so contradictory to the forum beliefs that is irreconcilable.

I don't care if that's not the actual rule under the GDPR. The staff doesn't know it isn't. Just have to tell MOBA Network they're not in compliance with the GDPR and MOBA will tell them to be and you get to watch the staff fail to figure it out.

I really do agree that Seik's situation was handled poorly. It was overzealous to remove his threadmaking privileges without even a warning, and it sounds like he wasn't even informed of it. Not sure why people couldn't have tried to deescalate at some point? He came in this thread multiple times with legitimate grievances meanwhile people were joking around and not even responding. Maybe the issue was that he didn't submit a ticket about it? Could someone explain why shit had to go down like that? He didn't react well to it, but it was also a poor reaction on the mods' part in the first place, and he did try to get an answer.
