So basically they just started talking to me about a PS5 and overwatch 2 to me out of nowhere. Both things I play a fair bit btw. But anyways they mentioned they are gonna play Ow2 all weekend this weekend now that their kids are out of town and how they don't get to play often. We had never really talked before this. Then they busted out the question:
"YO! You a gamer!?"
I freaked out. I said "n-no!" like really loud in the most obviously lying way possible. BUT I PANICKED. I just didn't want to be put in THAT box, ya know? I don't want them to think I PLAY PLAY video games, ya know? Like, seriously play them. So I lied. The room got all quiet. It was like they were expecting me to say yes.
I feel like I may have missed a connection here? Like they were going to invite me to a sort of gaming circle so we could play together? I dunno. But it got awkward after that?
How do you answer when asked this? Do you even get asked this at all? Do you hide your power level? Also, do you share that you surf gaming forums all day for news? Do you tell them about us? Resetera?
Dont label me gamer!!!!!!!!!1111
Even though I spend 90% of my time on gaming forums and own a PS5

Nintex: "Did you see the new Zelda trailer?"
co-worker: "Nope not yet but my sister has it pre-ordered"
*Nintex opens the Zelda trailer on the Samsung The Frame TV*
co-worker: "Holy shit"
different co-worker from across the office: "Woah, are they doing a Zelda movie now?"
Nintex: "Nope, it's the new game but it looks just as epic as a movie"
different co-worker from across the office: "Oh man I really need to buy a Switch"
co-worker: "Did you see the Mario movie yet?"
Nintex: "Nope, but I've seen John Wick 4"
*Nintex opens John Wick 4 trailer*
*phone rings*
Client: "I'm looking for Nintex is he around"
co-worker: "NINTEX IS BUSY RIGHT NOW CAN HE CALL YOU BACK LATER? (shouting over the sound of the John Wick 4 trailer)"
