From an outsider's perspective: It's not perfect, but it's got some of the most impressive programming and production in the history of television with no corporate influence and ads. It's also a sort of cultural and historical institution where, despite peoples' political differences, they come together to contribute to for a relative pittance, really. $200 is not a lot of money for what the BBC has offered. I wish we had that sort of thing here. Maybe like, burning down the entire thing because of some perceived slights isn't the answer?
