Short men are
. discriminated against in the work space and often passed up for someone taller (there is a wage gap for those that do get hired)
. discriminated against in the dating space
. twice as likely to commit suicide as taller men
. not allowed to participate in certain sports professionally
. depicted negatively in the media
. have no support network and often told to "suck it up, manlet" if they point any of this out
Sounds like other groups that regularly face bigotry, so the comparison seems pretty apt to me. If suicide can fall under the "life and death issue" B Dumbs is talking about, then surely it can be included.
