No in that case I don't think there should be a ban but my probably unpopular opinion is we can give minorities more leeway than we do white streamers given they have a higher hill to climb and are probably going to be subject to more people trying to mess up their streams solely because of them being minorities

Maybe splitting the difference there should at least be a warning, even an unofficial warning that doesn't go "on the books" of hey, gotta watch out for this

However, you're watching an individual streamer. That streamer is using their platform to spread bigotry. When you consume it, you're still feeding into the algorithm that promotes him on the website and allows him that platform. That's also absolutely true.

Just as you are under no real obligation to stop watching Asmongold, the people around you are under no obligation to pretend that you're doing anything other than what you're doing when you watch Asmongold. You're free to ignore that and continue to engage with content that you know is problematic but no one has to act like it isn't in order for you to feel good about yourself. That's, again, absolutely true.

He's also one of the top streamers in the world, is friends with multiple online communities and figures including dirtbag leftist and Era darling Hasan, is a very prominent ambassador for gaming in general with the attention of the Final Fantasy XIV dev team and Geoff Keighley, is the head of an organization that is also well-connected to the upper echelons of both the gaming and streaming worlds and had an indie game expo a few days ago (which got its own thread), may have contributed to the Depp/Heard trial having the correct verdict (Morgan Tremaine only testified due to clips he saw which may have been Asmon's), is part of a wider circle of streamers in the Austin area which includes several trans ones, and had a legitimately interesting interview with Era's favorite vtuber Ironmouse a few weeks back.

People are allowed to hate the guy.  Many do including some streamers.  But hating everyone that interacts with or watches him?  If so and you're part of the gaming community online, then you're legitimately in a bubble.

Can't wait for Hasan to invite him to play Amongus with AOC later this year and see how Era reacts.

Both of us completely thought this would never happen as about 7 years ago we tried to get pregnant and haven’t used protection in over 7 years. My side of the family has a history of fertility problems so we didn’t think anything of it. She hasn’t hade a late cycle or anything ever. She had been feeling a bit crummy lately and we both realized we couldn’t remember the date of her last cycle. So we got a pregnancy test today that dropped both our jaws at it was positive and immediately got a different brand which said the same thing.

We could not be more shocked. The timing isn’t perfect (when is it I suppose) as both of us quit our jobs two weeks ago (we worked at the same place) as our boss had made comments about an employee because she was gay.

I don’t even know what to discuss which is stupid since I’m starting the thread and I don’t often make threads. But I guess advice? Thoughts? Talk about the weather?
