There's really no lesson here and there's no strong conclusion to draw, even though taking sides is an absolute invariable moral act for Resetera. First off, she lied and because of that, she'll be blacklisted, but there's no strong takeaway other than 'don't lie'. The crux of the argument was about labor and pay in the games' industry -- everyone already knows lying is bad. So, beyond the lying, she's right: This series does make half a billion dollars. And the truth is, she is getting paid a pittance for the amount of money these games make. It is not crazy for a person like her to say to herself, "Hmm, Hollywood movies make as much as this game, and those actors make millions per film. All I'm asking for is 6 figures to play the main character." She was simply mistaken -- those film actors are more irreplaceable than she is, and they play a large part in driving sales. Nobody really cares that she's the voice of Bayonetta. Platinum realizes that, and pays the voice actors what they're worth. The moral argument went out the window when she started lying, but she isn't wrong or crazy to think to herself that she was entitled to more. After all, indie game companies pay streamers more than the $20k she was offered to play their games for a day or two. She threw her career away to bulwark a reasonable belief.
