People IRL don't even care about Ms. Marvel; her book has been cancelled erm....rebooted several times at this point and she hasn't even been around for a decade yet. Her comics don't sell (she doesn't even have a solo book right now). And as far as we know, her show had lower viewership than the other Disney+ shows.

I uh, was completely oblivious until about 2 years ago. I was 30.

I had absolutely no idea I was bi until I started experimenting with ERP in VR. At first I thought it was just because I was getting to do erotic stuff with cute women, but then I realised most of the time what was making it better was the fact it was a guys voice. I then came to realise fairly quickly that the idea of doing stuff with a guy was kinda hot. Another issue is she's terrified of her profession's most common job offering now that she graduated. Like she just got her diploma last week and she loves being a Vet but seems like entry level vet jobs have fucking terrible working conditions specially at animal clinics. Endless shift well into the night with no extra pay, single day off and your boss gets to decide which day you get each week

She's told me she feels she can't handle that and then going to her home exhausted to deal with even more shit. So we're trying to find her some work at labs, farms, meat industry, pharmaceutical industry or horse stables.

On my end, I've worked since I was 18, so I know you're always taking shit no matter what you do, from my first job at Taco Bell to now as an engineer. But I understand her fears.

My outlet so far is my dad, he stuck by mom during my grandmother's incessant abuse over the family so his advice and support has been invaluable.

Plus I'm likely going to tell my therapist all about it next week.

The only thing I asked of my GF is to stop mimicking her mother's antics with me when she vents to me, as that's been triggering my anxiety

She's modest, sometimes awkward and very much a family/neighborhood-centered homebody. Krakoa is where people go to leave the rest of the world behind, have orgies, get drunk at the Green Lagoon and live in crazy sculpture houses. Mutant culture is a thing now, and it's not hers. As a Hispanic, my personal thoughts:

1) It's unfortunate, but FF has never been terribly diverse so I didn't even expect or think about it until the interview

2) Would I appreciate it? Sure. Could they have handled the question better? Sure. But not a deal breaker.

3) It's a learning moment for them. Japan is also just a bit of a different animal when it comes to diversity stuff so idk.

They had to have known for months at this point that it wasn't feasible, and probably made the final decision to scrap it when they cheekily announced they were gonna have PvE news this year, knowing full well they were gonna drop this bomb.

Part of my frustration lies in the fact that this is all somehow still mired a lack of transparency. It's not that I necessarily hate change and inconvenience. I hate ambiguity. If I know why something isn't working then it's knowledge I can work and deal with. But we don't know the full scope of what is being lost, what they're replacing it with, how much audacity they will have to inevitably charge for it, and what will be done to assuage and make it up to players who were strung along for five goddamn fucking years, because rest assured a lot of the PR for this game was being done by the fanbase downplaying issues with balance and content on the PvE promises the team knew very well were basically lies at this point.

This should NOT have been a bullet point in a roadmap update. This should have been it's own separate sitdown with hard facts, details, gameplay demonstrations, and maybe even a little bit of groveling to us to stay on board. The PvE was the fucking identity for this game, a game which killed the original due to diversion of resources, and they're treating it as a mild mistake. It is fucking wild and insulting.

Absolutely all my trust and faith in this team is gone, nor am I spending any more money for the foreseeable future. They don't fucking deserve it.

Because people care about the characters and lore.

Because Blizzard diverted so many resources from OW1 for PvE's development that it killed the game.

Because it was advertised as the reason for the justification OW2's existence and branding.

Yep.

Literally people were hinging time and monetary investment in it because it was a major selling point. A constant question to invested fans was "When is PvE coming?" Much of the trust being built back up by the team was in part hinging upon the PvE presumably coming later on, that hey if this balance patch kind of sucked or if this content drop wasn't great, then it was okay because hey, we knew something amazing was coming.

Now that's not happening.

I have been in a situation where I've had to merely push content back, and it sucks. I can only imagine how it feels to scrap a huge portion of something you were working on and was advertised as going to actually exist for years....

But at the same time, the fucking devs got paid for their work.

The players put money into this shit on the good faith that things were going to pan out from the original game shutting down, that with the F2P and dev team restructure, increased communication, and faster patching, things were looking good even with shitty balance patches and weird content drops and awful, predatory shop mechanics. And we're not getting what we were promised, the thing that even justified this game's existence, nor any of that money back.

It was the biggest waste of time for the player base, a player base who looks exceedingly clownish for even trying to defend the game on the basis of content we were duped into believing was happening. Like I am livid that I even tried to convince people into this game with news, updates, and promises that were never coming to fruition, and the devs fucking knew for months that it was never coming. It's fucking embarrassing and I've had it.

Blizzard owes the legacy players something more significant, and I'm not talking about a goddamn free Halloween skin. We deserve at minimum an extended apology, a concrete explanation and showcase of exactly what the new PvE will look like, and honestly some of that content better be free. They do not deserve anyone's sympathy right now.

There is nothing they can realistically do to make up for it, and they know it.

Of course they are obligated to get paid. I'm just saying that this attitude of "the devs are also devastated" doesn't cut it. We all lost time. However the players lost time and money. So we're still the biggest clowns of this nonsense.

I recently started to play games on vita and am trying to play some PS1 games and god damn, this games are so fucking hard!!!

And I am using save state and even so some games are so damn hard to play…

Finished Disney Hercules and Metal Slug 3 but I honestly can’t imagine how hard it will be play this games without save state!!

At moment am playing Rapid Reload and Adventures of Little Half and even with save state this has been so fucking hard to advance!!

How people finished games without save state in the past?

Do you guys finish older games regulary?

So she didn't even read their explanation? They're cutting the original PvE because it would have taken too long to develop the content to the level they want, now they'll be able to release story stuff for free more often because it doesn't have to be tied into a mode where they'd have to not just design initially but constantly balance all the skill trees and progression mechanics against each other. They all but said it was maybe a mistake to call this the thing that makes it Overwatch 2.

edit: Just as an example of what they're talking about, in the first Borderlands the skill trees are so broken you can make Lilith completely invincible pretty early in the game and some of the multi-character area effects stack absurdly to where most boss fights before the DLC can be rendered meaningless.

This entire Spider-Man run for the past year and a half. The one that was hyping up the most shocking moment in Spider-Man comics since Gwen Stacy died. It turned out to be... killing Ms. Marvel, who was turned into a side/supporting character in the Spider-Man books?

And Marvel decided to officially announce this shocking ending a week before the issue releases with a ridiculously gross marketing campaign.

Ms. Marvel, the character who has her first film coming out this fall. The character of which (and actress who plays her) has been under attack by racist/sexist alt-right chuds for the past two years?

Cebulski needs to go immediately.

Bad story decisions happen all the time in comics. I think it's kind of the natural state of them being what amounts to decades-long neverending soap opera. Some decisions land, some don't. Some can be bad and later somewhat redeemed. (The Clone Saga, for example, has a lot of elements that people love and grew up with.)

This is embarrassing garbage. I am actually in awe that they did something so monumentally fucking stupid.
