it's been getting worse over time. I've been noticing that every other day there is either a "list your favorite" topic or "your opinion sucks/my opinion rocks" thread. Only the News and Sales talk separate it from Gamefaqs, but that's where the majority of console retardery comes up. I guess it's still a win (?). And official game topics are still helpful from time to time unless you don't post glowing impressions.

Though I think it was the first one since some of the mods are so incredibly defensive about Nintendo. Now would someone please tell me - was anything I said in that thread remotely trolling or against the Terms of Service? There are so many horrifically bad posters at NeoGAF that it's hard to believe that they actually ban for "horrible posting," especially for people like me who write in proper English and actually have something to say at times, which is better than 95% of the posters on that board.

I'm constantly amazed at how piss-poor many on the mod staff is and how they don't understand that bannings should never happen simply because you disagree with someone. It's also sad that they don't have enough respect to actually say who did the banning, though I know for sure it was Dragona. Surprise, surprise.

Congrats, GAF, you just ran off yet another poster who's been there since the VERY beginning of the site and the message board 10 years ago or so.

I definitely didn't think you were trolling Nintendo with that statement. You were basically saying if you wondered if that game will be an ''evergreen'' title, like Mario Kart, WiiPlay, and WiiFit, 1st party Nintendo games that continue to sell well way beyond their original release dates.

Unfortunately, with its strict moderation policy, NeoGAF tends to mute all candid, mature discussion in the Gaming side. But responses, like, "LOL SONY" or triple smileys ad nauseam are allowed without any repercussions.

I don't want to drag this out or anything but I've always been interested in the sales age side. We all know that WSR will sell, but it will be interesting to me to see how it compares with Wii Fit and Mario Kart. Everyone got Wii Sports for free so it's interesting to me if a sequel with Motion+ is worth $50 to those people. I suspect that it will be highly successful and in line with Nintendo's expectations, but it won't be Mario Kart and Wii Fit big.

Besides, I never hurt anyone in the OT or Online Gaming forums. Why don't they just ban you from one side? Buried beneath many layers, GAF has a great community and it sucks that 2-3 mods ruin it for everyone.

I don't hate the mods; hell, if I had a bunch of 25 year old virgins e-worshipping the ground I walk on, I'm probably less likely to ban them unless they really cross the line.
