Inauguration day is the day where my interest in US politics went from following it for some cheap laughs to zero again.
It was interesting to see just how much faster a government of bureaucrats and experts works compared to a clown show governing by Tweet.
With Trump the media spend about 6 months lamenting the loss of Obama's legacy because he signed an executive order about every month and each signing event with the sharpie took roughly 30 minutes.
Steve Bannon bragged about this and called it a "blitz of executive orders" that would paralize their political opponents. Most of what Trump signed had to be revisited, fought for in court, ammended or reversed.
Despite the President having the power to fire anybody, they hired The Mooch to get rid of Priebus and paid thugs in Ukraine to monitor the movements of the US Ambassador to find dirt on her.
In comparison, on the first day in office, Biden signed a stack of a dozen EO's to reverse about 75% of Trump's signature policies within 5 minutes of entering the oval office and appointed ~1000 government officials with a single ZOOM call to staff most of the federal government.
He also fired most controversial Trump appointees or made them resign.
