Amazing Spider-Man. I'm kind of shocked by how much I'm enjoying this. It has the human parts down even if Peter isn't so good at the whole "secret" identity thing.
Me, too. I liked it a lot, and was surprised.
Speaking of unneeded remakes:
watching The Watch.
it is as horrible as you have heard.
edit: gave up
Yes, this was pretty abysmal. I was on an 11.5 hr. flight from SFO to KIX when this was on; really a waste of film, talent, and my time. Utter rubbish.
I mean, why did they have to remake
Attack the Block for US audiences, anyway?
And the liberties they take with the characters and location are just unforgivable. It's strange to change from a disaffected youth to the manager of a CostCo, but I will say there is a certain ironic genius to changing the location from a tenement to a bulk-sales wholesale outlet, revealing the utterly ripe nature of consumerism which makes us soft to outside invasion, much like Rome became vulnerable to influence by the Germanic hordes.
