I thought the KZ2 demo was decent. It's a nice looking COD-wannabe shooter in terms of pacing and pyrotechnics with great visuals to boot. But there's just something about the KZ universe, and by extension the game, that feels totally soulless and by the numbers. I don't usually mind sci-fi being derivative, but in this case, it just feels TIRED.

Glad you also think the game is a hack job.
GO GO GO! OBLIGATORY FUCK! TAKE OUT THAT X!
I agree fully with that mission itself was
very standard. To be expected perhaps given that it's the first mission of the game, but it's definitely by the book.
Good by the book, but still by the book. Design of set pieces and overall look of the game, though, is
so not derivative, at least not of any shooter I've played. Architecture, industrial design, deceptively basic things like color balance, it makes for a unique and striking look. Not this level, perhaps, but for example Blood Gracht is far more than just a copy and rebuild job. But yeah, the mission itself could have been lifted from any other game.
