I'm sure gamercards will carry over. All the infrastructure is already there, plus people will be fucking pissed if the 720 uses a whole new achievement system.

I actually need to get a Windows 7 phone, so I can bust cheevs on the go

I wanted to hit 200k this year, but I've mostly been playing hard games over the last few months, so progress has been slow. I think I'm starting to get bored of console games... LA Noire is beginning to feel like a chore and I'm not even done with the story yet.

Almost done with ch.2 in the witcher.  Have a few more quests, but I'm just at the final part.  This is probably one of the longest chapters in a single location that I've played in any w or jrpg.  Almost 15 hours in now.  Game is very cool and fun, but so far 90% of it is running back and forth across maps doing errands for people :P  It's like Dead Space, the rpg.

Hey, now!  In spite of being an xfag (according to the wise and omniscient methodis), my gamerscore is about 6500.

Anyway,

Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky PSP - 20 hours in or so.  It's still good.  I'm not catassing this game by any means and will probably end up finishing this game late in the summer.  For RPG gaming, I prefer large chunks of free time to knock them out.  I'm not finding much so I'm always playing other games when I game rather than play this.

Ridge Racers PSP - Tearing through those world tour stages.

Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles PSP - Just started playing a couple of days ago.

5000 gamerpoint are already there in the pic, then i got at least 800 with tales of vesperia and 920 with FF13 which makes it for

6720

there are at least 2000 other points between mass effect, prototype, just cause 2 and nier
a bunch of other games were i ended up getting less than 200 gamerpoints makes up for the rest

Decided I'm gonna finish persona 3 after not having touched it for over two months. Don't want a game I've put over 90 hours into lingering unfinished on my conscience. We'll see how it goes.

Also up to day 3 in Gabriel Knight. I think I preferred the linearity and simplicity of the recent Gemini Rue. Really I play adventure games to go on a journey, if that journey is disrupted by lack of a clear goal being compounded by wayward backtracking, and sometimes impenetrable puzzles, I feel like I'm wasting my time.

It's not that the game has aged badly. The low-res graphics and awesome VAs (Tim Curry, Mark Hamill) are as charming as ever and a big reason why I'm still pushing on. I like that there is seemingly a resurgence in adventure games and think they're going about it the right way now. People don't want get stuck because it's hard to decipher were to go next, or because they might've missed an important clue by not clicking on every dialogue choice multiple times, those are barriers that make people call it a day.

mirror's edge ain't perfect, just a warning, but it's an amazingly tight game with great platforming and sense of style. I think you'd like it.

Also, if you haven't played Portal...play that and its sequel.

Mirror's Edge is a game that's more fun on the second play through [once you know pretty much what you have to do] than it is the first time through [where you have to implement some trial and error from time to time].

I've been playing Trackmania United.  Best arcadey racing game ever.  :bow2

I've also been dicking around with Saturn emulation.  My shitty old computer couldn't run games at full speed, but my current one can no problem.  Shining Force 3 won't work for whatever reason, though.  >:(

Every game I've tried, barring SF3 (Guardian Heroes, Dragon Force and Astal) has worked, although Astal had to do some tinkering.

you know i did so much shit for trying to get the 1000/1000 in tales of vesperia... i had to piss all over the world and i pissed all over the world, one of my character had to learn all the recipes so i fought and fought and fought so he could learn all the recipe's,i went and collected a shitload of ingredients just to synthetize every item and yet i can't get the "all item achievement" before new game+ because i didn't create an item that requires a 1-time only item

and yet i'm still missing a lot of bullshit like half of those tournament titles and those "fatal" titles >:(

I am liking Syberia so far. A lot of dialogue in the game and sometimes the amount of dialogue gets on my nerves, but it's rarely bad dialogue. There is also an epistolary nature to the story as well. I ran across an old couple in a tugboat and the man was speaking in a jumble of at least three languages (german, french, slavic/russian) and I am not sure if that is meant as a joke or that they're gypsies of some sort.

The puzzles are mostly "find the key" sort of puzzles. I wished there was more to them than that.

I've been up to the second arson desk case in LA Noire and I just can't even feign enough interest to finish the fucker.  Bored out of my mind with this one.

Anyway, I bought Red Faction Guerrilla over the weekend on Steam and I kinda dig it, especially for a 5 dollar game.  I remember playing the demo way back when and it left me cold so I just skipped it completely but I'm having a good time just dicking around. The game kind of reminds me of Just Cause in that I'm doing the same shit over and over again but I just love blowing everything up that I don't mind too much.  Too bad the environments are so bland.

Also downloaded Dead Nation off PSN from that Welcome Back thing.  LOVE IT.  Dead Nation is the shit.

Got the 1000/1000 in Daioujou Black Label. I still haven't been able to clear X-mode because of Hibachi, so I kinda want to keep playing until I get the 1cc. I liked X-mode until I watched one of the top replays, and then I saw how boring it is to rack up insane scores. Ketsui's X-mode is 1000000x better.

Started the original inFamous tonight, as my 360 was lodged next to several sleeping people.

Why do people hate on the comicbook cinematics? I think they're cool. The world is really well-done; very bleak, but beautifully stylized at the same time. The controls feel loose, but maybe I'm just used to Assassin's Creed and Saboteur. Cole moves more carelessly, and the game accommodates by letting him air-touch back toward any surface -- and apparently there is no fall to death?

So far, I'm really liking it.

PS3 n00b question: does my DualShock 3 need to be "on" in order to receive a charge? I left it plugged in to a USB charger overnight and it was still dead, dead, daddy-o.

alright despite what i sayed (twice actualy!) i'm going to 1000/1000 tales of vesperia,i checked all my titles and i'm only missing the fatal strikes one,the one you get for properly killing every giganto monsters, the one that karol gets for getting stunned 100 times and of course the all item and all monster achievement

so the idea is

- start the game new
- scan the boss you forgot to scan the first time for the monster book achievement
- blaze trough the game to get the 15 hours achievement
- abuse the bonus of grade game to get 10.000.000 gold and level 200 for the grindy achievements
- finish the giganto quest properly to get full collector's book
- put some auto fight to get the "fatal...." title for everyone
- 1000/1000!

sounds like a good plan? anybody else that 1000/1000 the game has any tip to offer?

The reviews have been average. The most common complaint has been that its now a mostly linear underground game where the destruction elements matter less than they did in the previous game.

I played it for about 2 hours this evening, it was pretty fun. The magnet gun is the star of the game, you can use it to fling enemies across the stage, or at each other, or into an exploding barrel, or rip a building down on top of some enemies, it's great. Then you can rebuild everything you destroyed with the nano-forge.
