finaly unlocked every character,i was looking forward to using gilgamesh but from what i understand his attack deals random damage... that's a really lame skill :lol

i found a bunch of items in labyrinth mode,but what item you get seems to be random and i can't complete the set and it's really frustating >:(

Lots of good gaming this weekend:

Fable 2 - finished both DLC, got to just beat the Necromancer in the Coliseum and I'm done with it.

Nyan-Tech - indie puzzle platformer for XBLIG. Pretty fun, I beat Easy/Medium/Hard but now onto the Expert level.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - was playing this co-op with my friend. Game is absolutely amazing, by far the best Tomb Raider game ever. Awesome level design and lots of cool bonus challenges to do. Playing it co-op is much better than single player, it reminds me a lot of Four Swords. If you haven't played this game yet... you really are missing out.

Mushihime-sama - played a few times to try and get a few cheevos :P I can 1CC novice mode pretty easily. Great game though, probably my 3rd favorite Cave game ever, the aesthetics and music are awesome.

King of Fighters 2002 Ultimate Match - bought this over the weekend, played a bunch of games against my friend (who is a big SNK fan). Really like the amount of characters in the game.

i got ending B of nier and i think i'll stop here,the upgrade achievement is really too frustating and boring and i don't really care about getting ending C & D whatsoever

there is no real spoiler here but i'm putting it under a spoiler tag in case bebpo and diunx decide to go "OH NO SPOILERZ!" on me again

whoever told me this game had a good story need a slap in the face,it's really just a basic plot to have drama and drama and more drama and after the plot twist happens,there isn't a big revelation that change the story or make you go "woah!" instead it's just a drive to have EVEN MORE drama

i said in my last reply about nier that this game was trying to set a record,no! this game set a record! the pointless bullshit drama doesn't go higher than this game,after playing this i feel sorry for everytime i groaned and rolled my eyes for everytime whatever i was playing decided to kill off a minor character just so that the hero could go "NOOOOOOOOOO MINOR CHARACTERRRRRRRRRRRR" thanks to nier my eyes did a 1080° spin

the actual game itself is pretty much as averagish as an action game can get,it's not really bad but it's kinda sluggish and button mashy which is not good especialy coming after bayonetta which is actualy a pretty kickass action game,it does have it's moment but i'm really puzzled how people can go around suggesting it as some "hidden best game of 2010 gem",heck was it such a bad year? ???

I just watched the ending on Youtube and removed it from my Steam list.  The gameplay was pretty good, especially on higher difficulties, but facing the exact same enemies (with some shitty turrets and flying robots thrown in as 'variety') and crawling through the same office complex for 4 hours finally broke my will.

Ketsui: 1-5, Type A, 68m. Making some progress, inch by inch. I need to start setting up some save states and practice the problem areas. Game's so damn hard. That's a good thing though, I love how aggressive it is. Best game ever :bow

Now to go sidequesting in Yakuza 4 and finish the story. Spent 30 hours on it so far and it's been excellent the entire way. Should easily be one of the top 5 games of the year when everything's said and done. I doubt anything besides Akai Katana and Dark Souls has a chance of knocking it down.

Finished up the Homefront campaign. Hated almost all of it. Seriously irredeemable crap. I'm not a fan of the recent COD campaigns either,  but this is like several magnitudes worse than any of those.

Multiplayer looks decent, however.

Darksiders was 10 bucks on Steam over the weekend so I'm playing that. Fun game but I can't believe there's no other option in the graphics menu other than resolution and vsync.  Lame.

I've also erased Civ 5 from my hard drive for good and went back to Civ 4.  Civ 4 + Beyond the Sword + Rise of Mankind mod is the ultimate civ experience.  IMO they dumbed down Civ 5 way too much.  I might as well just play Civ Revolutions on the 360.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit for the 360 and Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 arrived in the mail from Gamefly today.  I don't know why either were still on my queue since I've played both elsewhere but I guess I gotta get something for my gamefly dollar.  More interested in ME2 because I never did the Shadow Broker DLC, so I'll probably plug away until that's over and then send it back.

Tried playing Gothic 1 for the first time since I just grabbed the bundle that was on sale. It took me a while to figure out how to pick up items in this game. Instead of just clicking on an item to pick it up you have to hold the action button then press forward to bend down and grab it. This goes the same for talking to NPCs, combat, and moving/using items in your inventory. Really awkward. Despite how old the game is the world has a nice look to it. Lots of angles, dips, and hills make it look interesting.

The game unfortunately has aged to the point where I don't think I can appreciate as much as I should. I think I might just skip on to the second game and try that out for a bit.

Finished the first ending for 999... I guess I got stuck with a bad end (the 6th one?). Game's okay though. None of the puzzles have been hard or anything, but they're good enough and they do a good job of  breaking up the pace. I like the characters, and the story seems okay so far, but it could easily take a turn for the distinguished mentally-challenged at any moment. So I guess I'll keep playing for now.

Gotta play Splatterhouse in a minute. I haven't really felt like playing anything on 360 besides Ketsui for like a week now (still making some progress too, I should have stage 4 down before long... stage 5 still needs some work). Gotta finish these meh games and send 'em back to Gamefly already.

999 is good, and it has a decent resolution, but GAF kinda oversells it with the OMG WHEN I SAW THE FINAL ENDING MY BRAIN EXPLODED LIKE THAT SCENE FROM SCANNERS!!!! It never gets any harder, all the puzzles are easy. The hardest part is pushing yourself to replay all the parts you've already played 5 times trying to get the final ending.  :S

gaf oversells anything that isn't popular and half-way decent.  999, Silent Hill Shattered Memories and even Nier are victims.  I liked all three quite a bit but goddamn are people sickeningly cult-like with the praise.

and yes, you'll be glad the puzzles are a breeze when they make you replay them multiple times.  They still make you do those and for the text there is a fast forward option that is still slow.

Game is just sloppy, bro.

* Side scrolling is useless. Never any tough enemies and the platforming is distinguished mentally-challenged.
* Once you get the roll-invincibility skill, game is a breeze.
*What is the whole point of throwing enemies at you while running through the maze in Phase 10?
*Walked up some stairs, stood still, started to slide down stairs.

The combat is a lot of fun, but fuck, it could have used a few more months to iron shit out.

* Has lots of swearing
* Tits
* Darkwing Duck
* Awesome music

Sounds pretty awesome to me. Sorry you like penis.

Man, Gothic 4 feels reeeeaally basic at the moment (4 hrs in). There's barely any dialogue choices, not many options in leveling up your character, and haven't found much in the way of armor/weaponry. I'm on the 2nd island right now and for 2 1/2 hrs I've been fighting just two enemy types over and over. Shame because this game is really gorgeous looking and the combat feels pretty good. I still want to play through this but I think for my next modern PC RPG I'm going to need some more depth to my visuals.

Sorry to break it to you, but it doesn't change much. There's almost no side-quests or dialogue choices, skills are limited, the loot is crap, and you automatically get your armor upgraded at predetermined story points. The good part is that it's only 20 hours long, so you can breeze through it before you start to hate it too much.

That's unfortunate, especially since this game appears to be pretty well polished in terms of look and controls. Though as barebones as this game may be, I'm still somewhat enjoying it. It's become more of a "dumb fun" game for me. I think for my next game I'll finally jump into Risen since that seems to be more up my alley.

If you want something kind of similar, but bigger and with more sidequests, go with Risen. The combats bland up until close to the end though.

I've just finished playing through the story part of Pokeymans White.
Yes, Pokemon. I blame sleeplessness and lack of arousal.

I beat the endboss about ten minutes ago. That bastard totally and utterly annihilated me the first few times I fought him. Had to re-capture and fight my way through all the crap thrice over because you can't save after starting the endboss sequence.

67 hours played (LIES!), 144 Pokes seen, 91 caught, 80% of them females.  :pimp

Impressions:
spoiler (click to show/hide)
Encounter rate is horribad. At least my smug snake guy always had enough speed to allow for a near-100% escape rate or I'd have gone insane. Caves are now filled with OHKO-resistant monsters. Yes, no more randomly exploding stone things, now they just survive your attack and bash you around for a bit. Get that always-escape holding item or a billion Super Repels unless you want to play until your grandkids reach college. TMs are now re-usable. HMs are virtually unneeded for story progression and only really required for optional stuff. Music is quite impressive, considering the atrophied DS soundsystem.

If I had to put it into one word, what I feel is missing from White is customisability.
Things you could do whenever you were burned out from battling all those mons all the time - without being unproductive. In Pearl there was the ill-conceived yet nonetheless enjoyable underground, and the pokeball seals, and the apps for the lower screen, and so on. The two uses of the lower screen in White: Y-down-Y for treasure radar, or mash right side with thumb twice for quick-save and music. The rest is online-related and as of now absolutely useless.

It's a shame about... well, all of the online stuff. Nothing works on the first try, if at all. I doubt Nintendo will have fixed their single V92 Modem in the Wii server pool before I lose interest. I know they're probably a teensy bit busy fighting off the radioactive mutants creeping out of the quake rifts in their basements, so I can't really bitch too loudly, but still, this irks me. This is a huge company, 2011, and a multi-billion dollar franchise. Server capacity and bandwidth are comparatively cheap and effortlessly acquired.
Meh. It's Nintendo. A-hyuck.  :derp

Oh yeah. There's a honest-to-god attempt at storytelling. :omg It's all hippy Pokelovers vs civilized world with some heavily telegraphed twists, but hey, it's better than THAR BE MONS HUNT DERP. This was really surprising, but much appreciated.

All in all, a pretty enjoyable and surprisingly un-grindy game [once you cut out the random encounters as described above]. It's still Pokemon, of course, so YMMV.

aht learned to make bigger bombs so now everything dies literaly in one big aht explosion and can also drive the combo chain to crazy numbers
why the little loli is the most powerfull character? how i am supposed to say that to people? :(

gun-gal also has learned some nifty multi damage skills,much better damage than the crappy mana burst move of stocke,still her defense sucks too much

stocke got two new moves but nothing exceptional,i'm still not sure why himuro isn't still playing this... i mean i played tactics ogre so it only should be a fair trade....
