If review copies are out it should leak soon then. Unless they have some CLII level secrecy.; I'm still shocked it took forever for that album to leak.

Clearly one of the greatest fan/troll posts ever. I mean come on
Quote
Nas dropped I am earlier that year and sold about 2-3m but the CD was bootlegged HEAVY. ****in **** got bootlegged about 3 months before the cd was supposed to drop. It was gonna be a double CD which probably would have sold 10X platinum. I think Jay got the CD from Carmen and bootlegged it so he can stay king lol.

Quote
2002 after being ethered he dropped the blueprint 2 where he cried about ether and wanted people to know he is the best that ever did it.

Quote
2005 Jay declared war to get people to his concert and it was just him bringing out his idol NAS.
:rofl :bow

I swear, even though it was kinda dumb I had more fun during the Nas vs Jay-Z days than I have now.

I am so fucking excited for his next two albums. Hit another homerun, X

Maybe after these albums hit, we can finally get a DMX, Steven Segal and Jet Li team up.

:lol DMX is a crackhead. Have you seen the recent video where DMX says that Jay doesn't have a soul?  :lol (DMX = :hyper )

Dunno the exact amount but I know it was a lot of money, Def Jam inflated the first week sales by buying stacks of the album, and it don't think it made the budget back. I remember that ad blitz being everywhere

New Madvillain previews  :o

DOOM's voice is..gruffer than usual; edit: according to article below, the snippets are from unfinished recordings. First beat is alright, but the second and third are badass :bow

Spread it, take credit like Bernie
Made off with more shares than smears on a gurney

:bow

From Pitchfork:
Quote
In 2004, When DOOM (then MF Doom) first teamed up with producer Madlib for a full-length album, the resulting spaced-out rap masterwork ended up as Pitchfork's #25 album of the decade. So it's a big deal that DOOM and Madlib have finally, finally reactivated their Madvillain project. At the moment, the two are hard at work on the mysterious follow-up to Madvillainy.

The new Madvillain album has no release date right now, but it'll eventually come out on Stones Throw. According to Stones Throw's publicist, Madlib will once again produce every track, and TV on the Radio production mastermind Dave Sitek is tentatively involved with the project. Mos Def also contributes to the album.

Last week on East Village Radio's Fat Beats Live show, DJ J.Rocc played a few work-in-progress snippets of tracks that could end up on the album. And they sound every bit as woozily free-associative as Madvillain classics like "Accordion" or "America's Most Blunted". DOOM: "I'd like to start off by thanking our sponsor / For financing the parts for this Frankenstein monster." Click below to hear, via the Stones Throw website.

As previously reported, Madvillain will perform at the We the People Festival on November 21 in Los Angeles.

Working with No ID on his album. I'm trying not to get excited...but :bow  :o

Eh, I'm not feeling the Wale album. Trying to listen to it all but it just seems so bloated and calculated. The guest list is basically a who's who of popular artists in rap, pop, and r&b, but all their contributions sound like b-side material; and that being said, why the fuck is Gucci Mane on this album?

Meh, so double Ls for Wale this year from me. Didn't like Back to the Future, so far I'm not feeling AD

Everything is on one track, so you have to listen to it all the way through. Don't know why Lupe did it this way, but it's good. When the tracks get separated I'll post that version up.

Version with separated tracks

Tracklist:
01. Intro
02. Enemy Of The State
03. Turnt Up
04. Fireman
05. We Are Lasers (Interlude)
06. Love Come Down (Remix) (Feat. Dirty Money)
07. Food And Liquor Flow
08. Say Something
09. Thank You
10. The One
11. Back By Popular Demand
12. Outro

Talk about lazy production :lol Most of it's pretty solid lyrically, and I do like the more aggressive flow, but it's definitely not on par with something like Revenge of the Nerds. I think it's a little front-loaded; past Yoga Flame it starts to feel sorta uninspired, but that could partially be because by then I'm getting tired of hearing old beats. I guess I should just be happy that it's new Lupe. I dunno. I hope Lasers is better.

National Anthem and Yoga Flame are my favorite tracks.

Oh, and what is up with that distinguished mentally-challenged Zeitgeist comment on All the Way Turnt Up? That shit is almost as embarrassing as the Immortal Technique & Mos Def song about the WTC

Yeah, I rolled my eyes when I heard that. Also, what the hell does he mean at then end of the first track when he says:

Healthcare hair
Driveby thighs
education lips
HIV eyes

It sounds hot, but I have no idea what he's talking about.
