Actually, I'd suggest that you get the PC version instead. It's that much better. Check out the benchmark to see how it'd run on your PC.

I get like 180 FPS w/8X AA, max settings, 1920x1200 on my PC.

If you aren't going to get the PC version though, you should at least play it on the 360. Supposedly, RE5 is one of the games where the superior 360 hardware really makes a difference.

And I played RE5 on both systems and there's literally no god damn differenbce unless you jack off over texture sharpness in cutscenes but since half of you just said you skip it you'll never fucking notice.

the collector's edition was on clearance at best buy for $30, so prole and i bought it to play co-op

that's pretty much the only reason i bought it, to be honest - not much of a resident evil fan

but i do like staring at the asses of black chicks, so that'll probably be kind of a minigame for me

Huh? There were comparisons done, showing that the PS3 version has a worse frame rate and is missing details, IIRC. Not huge or anything, but still noticeable enough.

The framerate was fine when I played it. Maybe the occasional drop but nothing to cry about. And the game played pretty much 100% identical, there was no differences.

The details were small things like little shields or something, nothing that was detrimental to gameplay at all. And if you have to cry over the occasional frame rate drop that is barely noticeable then wow.

It is true that most the niggling little details don't matter, but if you have both consoles, why not go with the best version? I have Street Fighter IV on both systems. There are some *tiny* minor details not present in the PS3 version, and the image quality is better on 360-- it's especially noticeable when doing Ultras, since the screen gets a little blurry when doing them on PS3.
