I thought stealth stuff was done well. With the exception of the tutorial stuff, it was never instant death when you failed. It was more just to gain an advantage for the actual shoot out.

also, co-op objective is a bit more awesome and a disappointing than I thought. There are only three of them (I thought there would be more) but they're a lot longer than the one was in the demo/beta. Me and another guy played for about 20 minutes on one and died before we finished.

I thought the stealth portion in the museum/castle was really well done. One of the few instances where I've enjoyed a stealth portion of a non-stealth game.

I'm considering playing it again on Crushing, actually. I played on Hard and it felt on par if not easier than Uncharted 1 on normal. Only a few sections I'd imagine would be annoying, but for the most part it's fair difficulty unlike that stupid sniper church in the first game.

If there's one "complaint" I have, it's that they made Drake into a little too much of a "bad-ass" character type. I liked how he came across as a more everyman kind of character in the original. In this game, he's sneaking around and snapping necks with no problem.

The train sequence which looked a bit average in previews turned out to be fuck awesome, and the area right after was the most ridiculously awesome looking thing I've ever seen. I can't remember the last game I played that was this good and paced this well. Pretty much the pinnacle of action adventure stuff, and it's a shame that Insomniac hasn't made the same kind of leap this generation.

That said, I don't think I'm going to ever bother with doing this on Crushing. It's challenging on Hard, but it has never felt cheap.

Co-op campaign would have been great. There's certainly enough partners with you for a second player to use.

I just finished the opening climbing sequence and watched the first dialogue. There's a sign behind the characters with some Classical Greek scribbled on it. Transliterated, it says, "polytlas dios Nathan." This is a reference to Homer's Odyssey in which Homer regularly refers to the hero as "polytlas dios Odysseus" which means "much-suffering noble Odysseus." It's a formulaic metered name-phrase designed to help fill out the verse of the poem. Nathan apparently is a big Classics nerd who likes to see himself as a hero comparable to Odysseus.

There are a lot of sections that are better than expected in game when you realize you have full control during that sequence. I thought the section shown at E3 was just a scripted sequence, but you were actually running around and fighting enemies as the building was tipping.

Of those sequences that seem like they would just be cutscenes, the best was (fairly late in the game):

Jumping from car to car. They didn't even try and slow down your jumps to make it seem like it was a set path. You were actually just using regular platforming elements to jump from one moving truck to another.

aaaaaaaaaand glitch. Got stuck in a floor/Fell through the sky in the room with the fountain where you have to take out all the guards. I got stuck under the stairs and couldn't get out.

and weird enough, everyone seem to enjoy this easy game. Should games be easy today? I know that reviews and gamers use to complain a lot more when they play a hard game. Pretty sad actually.
