Derailed and Terminal are crazy. Terminal especially, there are so many potential siege points, but it doesn't matter since the whole level is like a labyrinth of access points. Cool stuff.

Graphics options - only up to 4x AA

LOL graphical pings

6v6 for all PC game modes apart from one which is 9v9. Team Deathmatch in a PC game in 2009 is 6v6 :lol

Interesting you can see the total number of PC players online

Quarry is pretty neat too, at least for domination. So far, overpass (or whatever it is called, rainy map) and favela are the only two maps I've genuinely and wholly disliked.

must suck being a filthy poor waiting in line at midnight; i wouldn't know as i strolled into to store and picked up my copy friday

spec ops is awesome, much better than the recent horde modes--the addition of objectives and the variety of actions keep it fresh.

Just went in to pay it off and apparently my gamestop has 150 preorders.  I'm betting there probably won't be a line though since it launches in 5 hours over here.

The nuke is pretty lame for what it does. Your body just goes limp and flops. It would be better if the game ends with a white screen.

I'm sure it's beyond the limits of the tech, but some destruction to the map, and characters being vaporized would be neat. Especially since it's the least bit of the match anyway.

It would be funny if they went crazy with the effects and it brought it down to 5 fps, like at the end of the level of old-school rail shooters.  Probably too much work for a once in a million perk though.

The store I pre-ordered it from didn't even bother to open at midnight as promised. :lol

I went to two GameStops, but the lines were around the block, so I bailed and went to Best Buy. It took less than fifteen minutes to get in and get out. And I felt bad for folks who actually pre-ordered at Best Buy, as it took them ten times longer to get ringed up (separate line at customer service).

Awesome game is awesome.

And for all the bitching, removing party chat is pretty great. Everyone is a chatty kathy tonight.

The funniest part of the game so far is having to protect the Burger Town, which looks suspiciously like a Burger King. It's hysterical to hear officers yelling "bogies inside the Burger Town" and "we must protect the Burger Town!"

I imagine that in Infinity Ward history books, children will read about the day that the brave men and women of our country sacrificed themselves to protect the Burger Town of Northern Virgina. Much blood was spilled on the extra value menu that day.

In fact, if you are amongst a squad of Army Rangers, it is not uncommon to hear servicemen valiantly charge into battle crying out in one voice: "REMEMBER THE BURGER TOWN!"

Just saw a match played on the airport map. Very cool. The boring maps of CoD4 were my main complaint about the game. It was all boring, grey, beaten down urban environments. This game looks like it has a good deal of variety with bright sandy deserts and shit.

They probably got home and wanted to hang themselves once they saw how the PC version was handled and how they wasted $60.

This is my friend right now.

At Best Buy, one of the employees - when he picked up the PC version -- yelled out, "A PC GAMER! FINALLY!"

I remember jumping between multiplayer and the campaign for CoD4.  It was like "ugh this is crap, I'm going to jump online...THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING! now to try some single player again... :yuck"

I think it should be arriving sometime in the mail later today.  I got the PC version  :teehee
