If Agents of Shield can somehow manage to limp on with multiple 22 episode seasons seemingly indefinitely (s6's shorter order excluded), surely we can get one more season of Daredevil.

Surely we can *finally* get a season of Daredevil with the same showrunner as the previous. (s1: Goddard/DeKnight, s2: Petrie/Marco Ramirez, s3: Oleson.)

Surely we can get one more season now that the show has hit a new high.

Surely petty corporate infighting won't deny us any of this.

Pretty sure DD is going to stay.  IF and LC are pretty weak in comparison and so are indicative of DD's fate.

Wasn’t the conventional wisdom that these are gonna end up on some Disney platform?

Hearsay unfortunately. We really don't know, and no one associated with Daredevil's production at least has commented (officially or not) on the matter.

Speaking of questionable data points, activity on Twitter for Daredevil s3 had the exact same drop IF s2 and LC s2 had (though it still had higher ratings overall.)

No Netflix has complete control of their marvel shows.  The properties might revert back to Marvel if netflix doesn't make shows (like Fox owned IPs).  Also the current seasons will always stay on netflix.

I thought the real issue was Netflix wants to self-produce their original content - not buy them from other studios. That's why something like American Vandal got cancelled after a great second season.

Meanwhile in DC TV, Titans is nailing Jason Todd.  Probably one of the rare times watching any cape show where I said out loud "oh shit!" because of a scene.

“Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix,” the company said in a statement to Deadline. “We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note. We’re thankful to showrunner Erik Oleson, the show’s writers, stellar crew and incredible cast including Charlie Cox as Daredevil himself, and we’re grateful to the fans who have supported the show over the years. While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel.”

For me this last season of Daredevil made it so i wouldnt watch the next anyway.

I wonder if Disney will continue with the netflix canon or somehow soft reboot the TV verse.

RIP Caredevil, we'll always have the giant hole.

So I ended up finishing s3 of Daredevil over the weekend, watching 6 episodes with my wife across Sat/Sun — and I thought it was really impressive. Much closer to the comics of Miller/Mazzucchelli than would have ever expected, and probably as good or better than s1.

Started Narco's Mexico.

While pretty good in terms of production and acting this series is nothing like the first/second season with Escobar anymore.
With "Mexico" they're sort of already doing a spin off but it's kinda weird to see a series move on from the original premise like this.

Nightflyers is okay, nothing great. They definitely just took every solid to great "horror on a ship" story of the last 20-30 years and blended them together. Much more of a slow burn than I expected as well. Probably the best looking syfy show I've ever seen though* but I think that's because it's a co-production with some UK or EU studio/network. Great sets. Would only recommend it if you're a huge fan of the stuff it's riffing off of and wish more of it existed.

Gretchen Mol still looks great.

The Netflix Black Lightning show seems good so far. The biblical references are pretty good. I especially enjoyed that the hero was resurrected after a piercing wound to his rib cage.

My new fascination is with Great News. Exec produced by Tina Fey, this is not 30 Rock, but it’s close enough for what I need. Really enjoying the style of humor, and interaction between the characters.

The biggest and best news for me though is that Travelers is back. Season three just released on December 14, this is the best science fiction that no one seems to be watching. Really like it.

I wasn't fond of the first ep of Great News either. I also didn't like The Good Place after its first ep. I'm glad I stuck with both, though.

Momo, I'm not sure how you managed to missed what's awesome about Travelers. I was caught immediately, and pretty swept up through the end of s2. I'm not sure how I feel about s3 yet, as they've rolled back some stuff that would have consequences, or at least appear to be doing so. But it's still my jam, so I'll keep with it.
