It doesn't work on CFW yet. But it will be patched in to work soon enough.
I can't wait to play it on the 2000. If I get some extra cash, I may go pick up a 3000 and dump my 1000.
this is a really good port, lo-fi and poorly-compressed portraits aside. between this and some badly-compressed assets in soul calibur, i am thinking namco is really trying to get file sizes down for psn, at the expense of the product. boo to that. yay to the disgustingly awesome graphics, short load times (post-install), and an ACTUAL ARCADE STORY MODE.
Yeah, although the story mode is the same as the console version -you still just do a few fights and then fight Azazel- except that you don't have to unlock anyone first in scenario mode. I think they should have just added the prologues and endings into the game's arcade mode, but it really doesn't matter. I'm going to be playing the challenge modes and ghost battle anyway.
Completely in agreement on the PSN size thing, although it doesn't make sense...Little Big Planet is 1.3GB on PSN.
BTW, there's one guy on Tekken Zaibatsu saying he and a friend got access to the patch early. Kind of hard to go with just one person's impressions, but he played his friend 500 miles away, and said it was definitely better, like on par with SF4. I don't believe this, but would assume it's going to end up as good as or better than Soul Calibur IV. Still, anything will be an improvement!
