Death Spank is "okay". I mean its very average. It's a poor man's loot game. It's not a bad way to kill some time but don't go in expecting Torchlight or something. Never played Costume Quest outside of the trial. It seemed cute and funny but I have a feeling it would kinda get old fast.

I enjoyed Deathspank more.  The writing was funny in both but the gameplay was less boring in Deathspank because you slash slash slash things instead of sitting and watching boring unskippable animations every turn in a watered down jrpg.

Plus Deathspank's voice acting is pretty awesome.  It's like an entire game playing as Captain Qwark from R&C.

and I'm happy they are going back to regular Kirby games.  The difference for me is that Epic Yarn is boring, regular Kirby is relaxing and fun to mess with powers and stuff.  I didn't catch if it was 3DS or wii.

I agree there isn't a direct 1-1 correlation but there is a since of scale especially in relation to each other that is useful. Especially since a few games have actually released sales numbers where you could theoretically form a relationship between their sales numbers and their leaderboard totals. Most "normal" people aren't playing these games on multiple consoles though. That's not going to sway those numbers in a big way. Although I'm not sure if trial editions put you on the leaderboards.

It's definitely coming.  I think the entire reason it's not purely an J-ADV and has puzzle gameplay is they want to be able to sell it to the whole world and everyone enjoys puzzles.
