Ease of use is one of the main reasons I guess. Overall I'm really happy with my Xbox Series X, every game runs, looks and sounds better than it did on the One X.
Between next-gen games, Xbox One games and backwards compatibility with the 360/OG Xbox the library is just insane.
PC gaming is getting close to the console experience for console type games but there's still a few things that need fixing:
- Switching screens or selecting screens in multi-screen set-ups (it works 90% of the time)
- Switching audio devices and audio support (things like Dolby Atmos)
- HDR support (the Windows HDR implementation is still rather poor)
- Switching between storefronts and carrying over settings
- 4K Blu-Ray support and native apps for streaming services that don't run in browsers
I feel like the Steamdeck is teaching Valve the lessons they need in order to make any Steam PC experience as flawless as the Xbox Series X experience.
