Runs like absolute dog shit on PC too despite all the downgrades, hence Mixed Reviews on Steam. But it's kind of ridiculous they spend 10 - 20 minutes on muliple E3 demos to highlight the main graphics features that aren't in the game.
I keep thinking there is just something wrong at the API or driver level because this keeps happening with 1st party Microsoft games and I don't think they plan to mislead everyone from the get go.
Hopefully we'll get some kind of behind the scenes account of what the fuck they've been doing for 6 years, probably rebooted this thing 18 months before it shipped.
Unsure how reviewers rated this game a 80+, seems a bit like Star Wars that also got good scores despite being somewhat broken at launch.
They seemingly just add a couple of points based on expected updates?
Ray Tracing looked so exciting when I first tried it in Control and Battlefield 5 but since then it's either been downscaled or kills performance so much that you can't use it without Frame Generation and DLSS tricks that have their own caveats.
Funny enough screen space reflections have only gotten better and developers keep figuring out more clever ways to improve them.
