I'm getting my wisdom tooth removed next week.

So there's a bus driver on campus who always calls out every stop in an exaggerated way. Like the Social Sciences building becomes "Anti-Social Sciences for the Freshman stop." and "Book store" becomes "Overpriced Dead Trees stop."

Today I'm on his bus and as he's driving he asks the girl in the front seat, "So what class are you late for?"
She takes an earbud out of her ear and sort of flippantly asks "Excuse me?"
So he repeats, "Which of your classes are you going to be late for?"
And she turns her nose up at him and then turns her face away towards the back of the bus.
He then begins explaining that this route is scheduled after the start of the current round of classes, but she puts her earbuds back on and turns up the volume.

I'm like wow, what a bitch, but she gets off at the next stop without ever saying a word. For the next three stops, the bus driver doesn't announce any stops. He normally makes a bad joke for every stop, sometimes just splurting out random shit. But now he's totally silent. Eventually, he drives to the least frequented stop where one person needs to get off. Finally he says:

"We're at too smart to talk to person talking to you errrrrrrrrr PARTY CENTRAL."

I felt bad for the guy.

As a general rule of thumb, I had a distrust and low-level disliking for all people in the following groups, until otherwise proven cool:

Old people
Pretty Women
Skinny Women who think they're Pretty
People who use the word "like" too much

It's just safer that way. I assume the girl in question fell into one of those categories.

Kinda pissed at some of my in-laws again. Apparently, and this is no surprise to me, they've taken to talking about me behind my back again. If it's not bad enough that I'm the "weird one," now they all think I have some kind of disease or illness.

For the past few months, I've been dealing with some dry skin issues that I'm working on very hard to resolve. I'm now told that my father-in-law noticed me scratching myself (not very gentlemanly of me) and decided to hold an open forum with the rest of his family about it while I was not around.

Now, we already know that I have a general dislike for the motherfucking asshole son of a bitch cocksucker shithead (did I get them all?), but I really liked a lot of my other in-laws. Some of them were actually cool people. But apparently, they've all decided to keep their distance because I now have an illness that I wasn't aware of. I only found out about it because my wife told me yesterday. She knew because one of her cousins (that's right, cousins) asked her about it because she was concerned for me.

I don't think that I've been so humiliated in my life, and I went through school as the fat kid.

Yeah, I hated that. I always had people, including family, talking about me behind my back. It sets up a false idea of who you are and you don't realize that false person exists. You just sometimes notice them being weird, until somebody blurts out all the rumors because they think they're true.

Use this to your advantage; Invite them all to a gathering as you need to make an announcement.
Have homemade food, and tell them you cooked it. Then announce you have leprosy or Aids, whichever works.

The crazy thing is that most of the work is being done by my fucking father-in-law! I know that they aren't supposed to generally love the guy their daughter is sleeping with, but going to the point of launching attacks like this against me is insanity. I've literally done nothing against this man, although he does say that it's my fault that his daughter had a child.

But the last time I checked, it still takes two people to fuck!

Here's the fucking thing: They raised the kid you married, and usually they think they did a pretty spiffy job of taking care of them. i.e. better than you. And they have the head start in parenting terms for when the grand-kid comes along too. Sometimes it all works out and everybody is cool - great! But if it doesn't work out after a few years then it's time to rethink that whole line of bullshit you said at the wedding about not just marrying the bride, but her whole family.

The weird thing is, I think if my father-in-law were out of the equation, they would all be pretty cool with me. He's just such an ass and he gives anyone a hard time that doesn't get in line with his thinking.

My wife and I talked this morning and she says that most of her family likes me, but they think that I don't like them.

I told her that didn't make any sense because I'm always trying to talk with them but they seem to blow me off. I'm sorry that we don't have a whole lot in common like hobbies and whatnot, but I don't see why that means we can't be "friends."

I feel like even when I do try to relate to them, they want to go off in to this whole other world of conversation. I used to kind of be the "computer guy" but my father-in-law told them that he wouldn't have me help him with a computer if his life depended on it, and actually went out of his way to pay a local company to do for him what I would have done for free.

Maybe I need to go out of my way to try and get to know some of them, like get together and go do something bonding-ish. Now what would I have to do? $:-\$

That sounds like my first in laws. Terrible, gossipy and dramatic people. Is your wife sticking up for you? She should be having a fucking talk with her family about the way they're treating you. You've said in the past she sticks up for her father, it's time she does that for you. If that doesn't work/happen, I'd separate myself except when absolutely necessary. If my in laws made it clear I wasn't accepted, I just wouldn't be around them.

I updated the firmware, maybe that will help. Haven't been hit by a spike thus far

I've been in walking dead mode, so delirious that I'm just now worrying about what I've been talking to people about for the past week. The more tired I get, the less filtered and more glib I become.
