That guy took a bullet for you man. With your on/off history, you'd be getting a divorce or throwing her body in a river within 2 months. I understand it's weird/sucks, but can you seriously imagine being married at your age and with her? Eventually you'll meet somebody that you can't possibly argue with like that because you really love and care for them. This type of fighting isn't healthy. It's one thing to argue, but you guys are ripping apart each other's personality.

It's one thing for people (women) to desire marriage and it's another to seek it out and make it a goal. That's just crazy. You get married because you love someone, not because you watched a Say Yes to the Dress marathon, or all your friends are married. Well you do if you want a divorce within 5 years.

My summer vacation begins on June 24th. I've got a ton of work left to do between then and now, but I'm psyched. Unlike last summer I don't have a basement to renovate, so I plan on just hanging out.

I'm doing a Diploma of Interactive Design currently. So I've been doing Web Design (recently learned HTML, CSS, Javascript), and we've just started on Flash. I'll hopefully have a playable Flash game done by the end of the year!

I'm considering going to the shop to get some beer. I've been drinking a lot less lately which is good, but man I am SO high strung right now and kicking back with a beer would be heavenly right now

I'm now in Buna, Texas staying with my mom's second cousin. 4 TVs, bunch of laptops etc holy shit.

Beaumont is the most country place I've been to in awhile. That's where the graduation party is, and my mom's uncle/aunt live there. Nice house with a huge yard.

So far had a shit ton of food including fried crab. They literally took a crab, put batter on it, and threw it into some oil. You suck the batter off the shell, break it to get to the meat, etc. Good but way too much work for me

Himu here's a few points I thought I'd raise as a fellow aspiring designer (which you can completely ignore, these are just what I'd do is all)

- theres a sort of feathering/outer glow thing which is very noticeable on the top of Barry's head where it overlaps the masthead. May want to fix that as it looks dodgy.

- have you used one of those pre-packaged photoshop filters on Obama? Those are no-nos if you want to be taken seriously.

- I don't understand why you've used that tacky display font for the "the" in "The Moderate"? It's quite cheap looking (for the angle of your publication, that is) and distracting. Imo the font and colour should be the same one used on "moderate".

composition wise these are very good though, and theres some cool work in these. I really like the torn paper stuff

I like the 'the' font. It feels...well...very 4th of July-ish. Filters are fine so long as they're used creatively and liberally. I used the filter because Obama without it looked somehow cheap despite my pen cut-out. Mostly around the edges. So I used an artistic filter to mask the flaws.

Thinking about it, Obama isn't the best thing to put on that one. I should redo that entire design. Obama doesn't fit with the cover's message. Bad marketing.

thats a good illustration. Very Japanese which I figure is what you were going for? Only things I'd do different are: adjust the colours slightly to increase the contrast between the 'O' and the background, and get rid of the strokes on the outside and inside of the 'O'.
