True. Even guys I know that like to call themselves "car guys" don't understand simple maintenance procedures on a car. My dad was a mechanic and even though I didn't really get into cars until a 3 or 4 years ago I've always been fairly competent regarding how they work so I probably take that knowledge for granted.

With my last car, I had a device that would read and reset check engine lights. Every single time, it was some error and a simple reset was all that it needed.

I found out today that I'm eligible for a (higher up) position within the company I work at. Should be a 20% raise but wouldn't start until mid year.

Earlier this week, I got picked from some candidates to be a project engineering manager for various green energy projects (solar and wind) throughout the country that my company owns. Doesn't pay as well but they pay for my travel, motels, and food, and I will go all throughout the country.

Also, I'm off of these boards for a while, if not for good.
