It's not so much the hour it's that I'm never there for meals. Breakfast is the only one and that only happens because I have to wake up at home instead of work. This was the show that all boys watched but never admitted to their friends. Looking back it's pretty obvious that the show was designed to appeal to guys also with all the monster fights. The violence depicted, while never extremely graphic did feel a bit gratuitous at times.

e: Oh short pedant story--for awhile I would always refer to a type of tax return by its full formal name because I'm an asshole. The formal name of a 1040, even if it's a married filing joint / separate, is "U.S. Individual Income Tax Return." I was trying to get some information from a taxpayer's spouse and they wanted to know why they were being left off the taxpayer's tax return because I'd called it an individual income tax return.

In Corporate Amerikkka, my golden rule is ABD: Always Be Documenting. There's always some asshole who doesn't read their e-mails and then claims ignorance when something they were responsible for falls through. Then you just resend them the e-mail you sent to them months ago, highlighting the thing they were supposed to do in red, and then kick back and listen to the "bububu" routine.

By 3PM I was at 80%, now at 10PM I'm feeling 90% but tired. Defo feeling old, old and tired.

Other exciting stuff which happened to me this weekend:

Pulled a pair of tongs out of a drawer which had closed around a steak knife; the knife fell out from between the tongs and landed point down in my big toe.

Ate some granola, hit an EXTRA hard crunchy item, turned out the glue on an old crown had finally given up the ghost.

On the way down to my wife's grandmother's for dinner, the local festival tomfoolery had several underaged, non-helmeted youths of questionable sobriety slaloming between pedestrians on a narrow road. One of them nearly ran into me, and I thought about shoulder-checking him into his friends, but realized that I'm at -3 to all skill checks while Hungover.

Man I just had to body slam my nephew through the floor on facebook because he posted some bullshit about how drug testing people on food stamps is necessary and that it pay for itself. He's really the only remnant of any of those stupid image posting facebook people I have on my facebook (I unfriended the rest) because he's a smart kid and I love him and really he's smarter than that and someone needs to say

"you're smarter than this" if he's ever to learn.

The funny thing about the drug testing Medicaid shit is that there are a couple examples of it in effect, and they show it's a waste of money. If you can't find massive abuses in a state as fucked up as Florida, your argument is weak plain and simple.

Ultimately it's not about facts though. It's about shaming people on Medicaid/welfare, and perpetuating the idea that the majority of people on social service programs are gaming the system. Now, I'm a black guy from Detroit: I know people who are on disability and/or welfare who shouldn't be on it, and I know people who take advantage of the system; and I've worked multiple jobs that dealt with people who were gaming the system. But the idea that they represent the majority of people on social services is pure ignorance. Most of the people on those programs are working hard to better themselves, most can't make ends meat without the programs, etc.
