I was filling out some USA forms and it struck me as weird how most official forms are Last Name / First Name in that order. But then in most English language stuff like credit rolls we list names as First Name / Last Name.

It's one thing in Japan where everything is Last Name / First Name order and in sync. But I don't understand why so many official US paperwork and stuff is Last Name / First Name. It's just weird to me.

Beps, let's be honost. A lot of things in the US don't seem to make sense. The order of the date. I know I know, 9/11 wouldn't have the same ring as 11/9 (stupid ass joke on my part. sry), but day/month/year is a much more sensible way of writing out the date. Whatever. Celsius rocks too. I hate fahrenheit even though I've spent most of my life in the States.

LTTP but in terms of filling out forms that are likely to be alphabetized it just made sense to have the last name first in the era of paper. Alphabatize by last name, then first name, then middle initial. I feel like in the digital age you see it both ways. Outside of filling out forms, western notions of individualism have placed predominance on our first name as our identity. Our familial name is rather inconsequential compared to other cultures. Quite often in the old world, your last name was just the town you were born in or your profession. You think I'm going to identify as a Shoemaker or a Smith or a Miller?

It looks like that's only when it knows you'll for sure blow up the RAM. Whenever I get that error, it's borderline enough that it runs for a couple hours before telling me I fucked up.

I just noticed today that there's a 3rd sub-forum besides Games & Real Talk. When did this happen? Also where did the Bork Appreciation thread go?

Also I don't know what half the threads in Real Talk and almost any of threads in this 3rd sub-forum are about from their titles. Everything reads like nonsense like you need a secret cipher to understand what the topics are actually about. I don't remember this forum being like this. Gaming side is still pretty normal.

That third sub-forum was made back in February!

Shosta did a good job summarizing events. That sub-forum is also only viewable by forum members, btw.

The "Bork Appreciation" thread was deleted- no idea what happened there. Maybe it was a mistake and they meant to unlock the thread or maybe they just did it for the lolz.
