I dont give much of an ass about marvel in all honesty, have always read mostly DC. This is just common distasteful shit manga/comic fans have to put up with that gets under my skin.

Also over the course of a writers reign the comics do respect themselves (mostly)

Why do so many Neogaffer people think we are so bitter and hate filled? Apart from a few people, and apart from this thread most of us don't really give a shit about NeoGAF and what transpires there.

Possibly very little of them have actually spent time lurking here and just see the bore as the big bad booty daddy man. There is some legit bitterness in here (raising my hand some was from me when I got banned) but overall I havent really seen anyone be consistently bitter over a period of time greater than a day/few posts. That bitterness is also usually quickly dispelled with a few well placed dick jokes.

If you don't really know the people and only spend a negligible amount of time on here in this thread on the wrong day, I can understand forming the snap judgment that this is a place that has a focus on hating GAF. However, that doesn't really persist if you hang around for any real chunk of time.

Like, when I lurked here, though I ventured into the forum at large, admittedly I focused on this thread. I'd click the thread on a slow Monday after a weekend of not reading it hoping for some drama or nonsense to keep me entertained for 10 minutes only to see jackasses arguing about anime that I didn't care about. I quickly realized that there was a real community here outside of just regaling each other with GAF gossip and whining.

Well, I'm still posting there too, but to be honest their moderation policies are getting weird. Topics being banned because mods "just don't think they're productive" and obvious, innocuous jokes are being banned, etc. I'm too opinionated to not get banned for good one day, I'm sure.

OK, I'm still reading about the neogaf olden days posts, and to me the one thing strikes me blind, like a hot poker into an THE EYE of people with issues with neogaf is thus: I have no idea why people take this stuff so personally. I post my thought rockets wherever they may take me, the Something Awful forums are like the biggest impersonal thing and the weird reddit paedo thing was so full of misplaced resentment.
