his extreme taste in fashion kinda makes me think he's at least bi. The hiphop/rap world needs a popular, gay or bisexual entertainer. It would change a lot of the attitudes in the music

No it wouldn't. gay/bi attitudes in rap come from gay/bi attitudes that reflect black cultural values in america. since so many black americans are pious christians, they see being gay as detestable and since so many blacks in america are christian, this of course permeates a large subset of rappers.

most blacks are socially conservative and fundamentalist. that wouldn't do shit. see queen latifah, who is a lesbian.

Wouldn't changing the attitudes in rap have a reverse effect, like seeing gay people of other professions and status changing people's ideas about homosexuality as well?

It's not like rap music is immutable towards cultural change; the genre alone has been incredibly pervasive culturally for over twenty years

I just don't see that mentality changing. While the church is not as important to young black people today as it was once, the church mentality remains. People don't go to church yet claim the movement, claim the blessings, claim the lifestyle...while they party and go wild. Homosexuality is demonic and wrong, yet fucking every woman you can is ok. The hypocrisy is amazing.

Hip hop merely mirrors that mentality while providing a model for many black kids to imitate. You have to be hard, you have to be ignorant, etc....even the slightest hint of gay shit, like hugging another man, is forbidden. I've seen this in young kids, like 6-7 years old and already focused 100% on who's gay, who's fruity, what's gay, what's not gay, etc. While racism seems to lose steam, homophobia just gets bigger and bigger.

It's rather sad how much cache a tag seems to have on Neogaf, seriously awry values ahoy! Also Wutang clan is an anagram of anal something, this proves my theory about GZA. It was a real shame about his subsequent albums though, it's as if he had enough money to not really give an artistic shit.

In terms of quality Liquid Swords is on par with Niggamortis, and slightly above Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. Man Cappadona was a fucking awful rapper.
