- Dream match up – Dozens of playable characters including Ryu, Ken, Guile, Able, and Chun-Li from Street Fighter as well as Kazuya, Nina, King, Marduk, and Bob from TEKKEN.

- Real-time Tag Battle – Fight as a team of two and switch between characters strategically.

- Familiar Controls – In SFxT, controls will feel familiar for fans of both series.

- Robust online modes – In addition to the online features from SSFIV, SFxT features totally upgraded online functionality and some new surprises.

The game will be out in 2012 on Xbox, PS3, and PC.

The original gameplay reveal was amazing. I hope the final game winds up being as awesome as that looked.

edit: just watched the new gameplay trailer, god damn that looks so good. seems very juggle/combo heavy, hopefully with lots of tag combos.

So my fighting game buddy is excited for Mortal Kombat 9. I don't like Mortal Kombat. I feel the games feel and play stiff. I don't like the way they feel. MK9 feels better than past games but it still feels tame compared to the best 2d fighters have to offer.

The more I see of this, the more I dislike it. The aesthetic is revolting and the core gameplay strikes me as a SSF4 remixed tag battle mini-game a la the console versions of SFA3 (albeit with a slew of new, hideous characters).

Eh, I wouldn't judge it on any of these gameplay videos just yet since the people playing have no clue what they're doing. One of the matches in that video ends on a time out with Kazuya fierce punching the air ffs.

I don't mind the camera shifts during throws, but I guess I can see why that would bother people. Maybe you can turn it off.

Pretty much how I feel atm. I'm quite pleased that it's six buttons, though.

might turn out fun. But I really don't like all the dynamic camera stuff. I'm annoyed at the camera changes when you do Ultras/command throws in SF4 though.

Yup. Guy, Rolento, Cody, Hugo, and Poison are all Final Fight characters in Street Fighter titles. Plus Haggar was in Saturday Night Slammasters.
