Musou Orochi 2 (Warriors Orochi 3).

No U.S. announcement has been made yet, but it's got to be coming out in English.

I think Ayane is the more powerful of the two in this game. They really seemed to have focused on making some of the females overpowered as hell.

Yeah if youre a musou veteran you can feel your way through menus- its the just the more subtle tweaks that are hard to suss out without a guide (see lyteedges link). Generally musou games are all ill import since I know I can pretty much play them without learning japanese

Musou Orochi 2 seems really straight-forward compared to the other games. You shouldn't have much of a problem playing the main game. Don't know about the level-editor stuff though.

Well, Kaihime in particular screams "airheaded," but she's a made-up feudal Japan version of a modern-day gyaru anyway.

Will get back to it soon, but I ended up spending the whole weekend playing Sangoku Musou Next instead. Another different from DW7- Most stages allow you to select from different characters to use instead of being forced to use a specific character. A few stages do make you use a character in particular, though.

The most annoying part of this game? The forced one-on-one touch screen battles. Some of the enemies can be brutal and parry fucking EVERYTHING YOU DO. The game lets you immediately restart these battles if you fail, and fortunately you do not have to replay the entire stage. There's also these horse-riding mini-stages that I find annoying. They're not difficult...just boring. Controls are different and feel like a weird racing game.

I think I'm nearing the end of the story mode, BUT I haven't played anything with the new faction (from DW7) and have yet to see the DW7 XL characters pop up yet. Once I've cleared story I'll go through conquest once or twice and I'm done with it.

So I noticed using the set characters intead of your custom team in Orochi 3 lets you complete additional objectives? Some of the timed objectives in Orochi 3 remind me of Samurai Warriors 2's insane time requirements, its likes HOW THE FUUUUUUUUUk am I sposed to!?

Oh well, only one mission I lost because of that- its the one with the three forts across the map- 3 star fight.

I think some of that stuff won't be possible until those characters are leveled way the fuck up and the game has been cleared.

There's regular and "true" endings, btw. Not sure what the conditions are.

So I finished Sengoku Basara 3 (PS3) with all the chars (twice for new path) and I get stuck at like 80/90% campaign completion for most of them. Anyone know of a helpful guide I can use to complete all of the campaigns 100% ?

So DW7 and XL have some confusing DLC. There is a stage pack for Vanilla and for XL that appear to be the same, one says it unlocks stages for conquest in vanilla, one says it unlocks them in legend mode for XL. Do I need to buy both or can I just play with remix mode and buy only the vanilla dlc?

Koei Tecmo are going OVERBOARD.

Just recently announced Sangoku Musou Versus for 3ds. It's basically Musou Orochi with Dynasty Warriors 7 characters. So, basically an expansion on Samurai Warriors Chronicles? They are making TOO MUCH MUSOU.

In the past year I have bought DW7, DWG3, and I'm going to buy WO3 and One Piece Warriors. If I had a 3ds I'd have Samurai Warriors Chronicles. TOO MUCH MUSOU.
