So glad FF13-2 is there :bow :bow2

cept isn't under 400k bad?

Who cares. I got my copy and had a blast playing it.

I didn't mention it's quality at all. I was one of the few who really loved XIII. But it still sold shitty

Yup

3rd best selling Vita game

Assuming Uncharted was #1, what was #2?

Wipeout selling more than 11k in the US is definitely good.  Anything that keeps Sony from killing the series is good in my book.

Part of the charm duder.

And I still say HGSS are the best looking games for DS.

Pokemon's style is okay, although their decision to go with 3d elements on the ds hardware compromises things for sure.  Black and White had persistent animated sprites which is ... still playing catch up to 15 years ago. but its progress on their part.  I kinda hope they don't switch to 3d modeling though because the Stadium series feels a lot slower when battles play out.

There's complicated reasons why pokemon as is wouldn't work out so well with a capacitive screen, mostly to do with how much the game does certain calculations based on the tile based world.  Random Number Generator abusers would rage at moving up instead of left at certain points.

Anyway, should be interesting to see how Kid Icarus does next month as I've heard its being advertised on channels like ESPN of all places.  Not sure what segment of that demographic they're shooting for.

HGSS had some nice overworld sprite work, as they didn't get carried away with the 3d stuff.  Black and White 2 went overboard with the crappy 3d modeling everywhere and the out of place sprites that populated it.

Pretty much but can you blame them?  They had more success with the wii than with thier previous 2 generations of hardware combined.  :/  Besides they are more suited ot make kiddie shit for the masses than hardcore games anyway.  Pretty much all thier ip have turned kiddie except for metroid.

Well whatever. I don't see how you could say their hardware "plagues" anything considering we all have free choice in what we buy, but whatever.

Also lol at creating a false kiddie-matoor dichotomy that I thought died last last gen. Suddenly Nintendo's "turning" *more* kiddy somehow, despite its new IP's catering to an older audience like Xenoblade. Well, I guess Pushmo and Rolling Western could be kiddy.

Annual research by the research agency Media Create indicated that of the $1.65 billion of the Otaku industry in 2007, doujin sales made up 48% ($792 million)

Why do they need high-end hardware when their flagship franchise (Pokémon) continues to use graphics that would be embarrassing on the Super Nintendo?

One would think it would come up more frequently due to the places I visit online, anime forums in particular doujins are discussed to death.

Somehow whenever I think of a Japanese salaryman they are drunk. That stereotype is soaked deep into my bones despite my favorite portrayal of a salaryman being Rokuro Okajima who's only drunk once, well even then he managed to cement it in me by yelling "No one can out drink a Japanese salaryman" or some such when he drinks.

Ok I'm rambling now, brb while I read up on renpy licensing, maybe I can release some of the shit i've made with that game engine as commercial titles (after adding tons of porn)

That's honestly way better than I thought it would do.

Is that good for MGS3D? Bad?

Not bad for what I was expecting.

Pretty horrible for the series.

I don't know, I think the HD collection competing with it in such a short period of time didn't help.

A third person cover shooter pulling in ~100k in a month in Japan isn't that bad.
