can i just say how much it pisses me off that a multi-quadrillion dollar dev like blizzard refuses to make customization option for bigger text size? if the fucking swapper, a no-budget indie title can have extensive options for visual & hearing impairment, theres no damn reason why aaa dev cant do it too, especially after fans bring attention to it.

Unlocking the Mystic is gonna help a shit ton for smoothing out characters, I think. I've seen so many pieces of gear where I think "if that affix was just this affix..."

Really happy that crafting seems to be more viable now.

A few notes about the game. DONT SPLIT UP if you are trying to get xp or loot, because you dont get credit if you do and the drops wont appear to you so you always want to be together. Thunderfury is awesome.

The lack of Bounties/Rifts pre-expansion is the only reason I was easily able to stop playing last night...

It's completely random. You may never finish it. Cash n gems, worry about when the expansion comes out. If you want better gems now let me know.

I need an honest response to this:

So i was getting power levelled to 60 by a friend going through the game normally on torment 2. He gave me all the gear he wasnt going to use anymore. I found a Thunderfury. He said WTF or something in a way i could tell he wanted it. I said something along the lines of "I think i am going to keep this, if you dont mind". In a more forceful tone than i normally do. He didnt say anything. After the exchange period he started to complain to everyone that i didnt give him the Thunderfury.

Point is should i have given him it even though he didnt ask for it or was i ok?

I am not like that though. But imo the levelling didnt matter too much, because there were other ways to level faster, i had the opportunity to do chest runs or CODA runs and level faster. But what is "pulling rank" anyway?

The gameplay was always there, but they figured out itemization to the point where you feel rewarded often enough to want to keep playing. Add in fun new ways to play the game (bounties and rifts) and a little bit of new content in a week and we're looking at one fuckin' awesome game.

D3 and PoE getting expansions in the same month worries me. I tend to play arpgs in a casually obsessive way, ie I'll say "time to get to level x and call it a day" and then before I know it two hours have passed. Then I wind up getting burnt out after 4-5 months. I was watching a Kripp video yesterday and he was saying he played the RoS beta nonstop and now thinks he'll be too burned out to pick it up again; same thing with PoE for him.

Played a little of both games yesterday but I deliberately turned my computer off early due to daylight savings time. No way I was going to fuck myself over playing until late.

I see playing through Act V once as a necessary evil to unlock the Mystic and quest starting points, etc.

Although once that sweet, sweet ass adventure mode is available, I won't have to worry about coming up with runs on my own anymore.

I tried PoE and I just don't like the feel of it. It feels like I'm playing a game from 2003. From ui, to controls, to gameplay flow. The skill system is cool but little else.

Personally I think PoE is the better game, but I understand why others would prefer a more polished title like D3. It's also a bit unfair to compare them in the sense that PoE has been getting major improvements for awhile now, whereas D3's most meaningful changes just happened. We'll see. Still not a fan of the spells or customization, but it's fun again.

If you told me 4 months ago that I'd reinstall D3 I'd probably laugh in your face.

It doesn't look like higher difficulties impact Magic Find, is that correct?

Torment has six settings. Bottom left where you select the difficulties is a slider. The higher you go, the more magic find and xp bonuses you get. But the monsters naturally hit harder and have obscene amounts of health.
