I was gonna post something about bombing all of GAF into the stone ages and the world being better off, but this is the newsfeed blurb when I clicked reply, and it pretty much perfectly sums it up:

christ i hope some scientist manages to resurrect a stegosaur so it fucks you to death

GAF has finally hit it's special fellow Event Horizon moment- legions of humorless fuccbois posting Very Serious Comments about the sad state of the gaming industry, while no where is there anyone left running the place- it's basically a robotic wasteland of "play by these stupid rules which produce unfunny shit posting, kthxbye." I'd say that evilore had a moment where he looked at his creation and cried a single tear of regret, but let's be real- he's the HSIC (Head special fellow In Charge, natch)

-Major Nelson offered E3 passes to Evilore
-Evilore took this as "bribery" and declined the passes
-At E3, Evilore caught up with Major Nelson but Major Nelson "quickly turned away from him"
-Grudges were held

For real? Who catches feelings over that shit?
Moreover how does one react so badly that people keep hanging it over your head?

Quote from: Utnayan" post="445398421
That kid took some of his money and bought a game called Alien Colonial marines.

Why?

Because I was sitting there watching that movie with him and he loved the thing. His favorite part was when they set up the automatic machine guns and they went off and he knew when the guns were going off by looking at the counter tick down.

Aliens obviously.

He spent the money he got from this very site to buy that game. It was a horrid broken mess as we all know. And he wanted to buy it and I insisted that I do it for him and he insisted no, he was going to buy it because there were great internet people that helped him and it he wanted to let them know he had fun and spent that 40 bucks wisely so I made him a steam account, he downloaded it, and I bought him a nice gaming laopop to play it on since he was in his bed.

The game crashed constantly. Completely bug ridden as I found out later, and then knowing later through my contacts that the company... fuck it.

This kid looks up to me and says, "This game doesn't work that well......" I tried to fix the computer, over and over, I gave him 5 laptops, nothing changed it. He said, "The movie was better I think".... And All I could think of, was that fuck, ********* covering his ass while he was being sued by ********  for 3rd party, yes....  what a mother fucking bastard.

But those ads were awesome. You looked at the screen on the TV and you can sucker those casuals into buying your product or those moms and dads without thinking twice.

9 weeks later, that kid died.

You can see from why I am so adamant about being ethical when it comes to these games?  Honeslty, no internet shit, have you ever had to explain to a kid that had some funds to spend to help him out and make him smile, and loved a game that oh well, "Those publishers suck I guess, lets go call it a life!"

Yeah some may think I am nuts. How about owning up to your product and not being an unethical fuck. Has that ever once entered some minds.

Witcher 3 will be fine. What got me was the usual defense of obvious bullshit deflection.

Let me clue you in developers. We don't owe you SHIT. We bought your product, and sometimes off false promises and unfinished product. The hell you fucking say we are entitled for feeding YOUR family. Get off your fucking high horses and realize that false advertising is bullshit, and all your viral garbage will not make a few decent people go away.

Doesn't matter to you.  You made your cash.

PC of course.

GeForce GTX 970
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50 GHZ
16.00 GB RAM (15.89 GB usable)

Playing with most stuff on High and with HairWorks on currently. Everything looks great (although cutscenes are noticeably jittery) and performs well (aside from the occasional crash). Ah well. I'm sure this stuff will get sorted out soon enough.

Even on low settings, I get a black screen every 10-15 minutes at random. Guess I'm waiting for a hotfix.  ;~;

Geforce GTX 760, Intel i5-2500k, and 8 gigs of ram btw.

edit: some dude said it might be linked to overclocking? wat. mine is factory overclocked, actually.

I'm crash/issue free too. Maybe it's that 16gb of ram and i7?

I'm running an i7 (different cpu, granted, but still) and 16 gigs of ram and no issues. I haven't overclocked anything, though.

Clearly this game just looks like shit, also. I mean, Poland's govt should probably have CD Projekt Red put to death in the streets or whatever.

Dicked about for a couple of hours, game opens up like the first witcher with it folklorey peasant village atmosphere; but a map of that size has me worried about Creed-itis when it comes to filling it up with shit. I hope there's more to the side questing than right trigger>press X on red bits.

Geralt flat out dying from some falls I'd easily survive. This mutant knight ninja kicking the bucket anywhere after 13 feet :dead

I know it's a small thing and not something that hasn't been done before, but Geralt's Witcher Vision [which is really just detective mode] is a pretty cool addition to the game and I hope it continues to get used a lot.

Protip- if you can ride Roach into a fight, it seems like you do more damage with mounted swings of your swords than you do on foot. I've settled into an easy canter drive-by where I just casually trot into a pack of monsters and start slicing heads off.

If you say you don't want to 'simulate a savegame' you make choices that you'd have made in w1 or w2(? not sure it all blended together lol)

I thought it was the opposite. If you simulate a save game (which is on by default at least on xbox one version) then you meet someone later who basically asks you questions that creates your save game states.

Everything on high

Shadows low

Still getting the hang of the flow of combat. The griffon killed me the first go around but I got it. The noonwraith section was a lot deeper than what was shown in the videos. Igni is much more powerful that what was shown on the videos.
