I really doubt that there would be any spillover if the GAF thread were to be deleted.

I think that most people here would just find other things to talk about, like most people in this thread do anyway.  The only exceptions are the people who post here between bannings and fuck them anyway because they're rarely decent contributors to any given conversation here.  Regarding embarrassment, most of us are in our 20s, 30s, and 40s in a board that mostly talks about video games.  We already hit embarrassing, with or without a GAF thread.

A lot of people don't realize that you can't just take a camera into private property and do stuff "for the lulz". I'm reminded of the guy who dressed up as a snowman in connecticut in order to scare people and film it for his youtube channel. I think after all was said and done, he was banned from filming anything within that town/city.

I'm not saying that the bouncer should have hit him, but there are enough levels of standard procedure that would make it pretty tough to properly pin any sort of criminal action against him, even with this video. Depending on the judge, the kid could get into hotter water over "public prostitution" than the bouncer.
