There's a lot of standard "was it really rape though, really?" stuff going on, but it's being mixed with a distinct tinge of dopes who want their X-Men movies unfettered at any cost. Like, they aren't mad that Singer may have violently raped a kid. They're mad that this is going to throw a wrench in a movie series.

This was called out Ivy and people rushed to the insensitive as fuck poster's defense. Shit's gross.

Does Singer really have a fandom though? One great movie (Usual Suspects) and a good X-Men film I guess. This seems more like X-Men fans who are hoping Singer won't drop the ball.

Singer's also getting defended in some circles because he's been a bit of a gay icon. I imagine that factors into MercuryFred's weird logic.

I always like looking at the wikipedia edits during this kind of thing: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bryan_Singer&action=history

How is he a gay icon? Dude hasn't said he's gay? I thought Mercury Fred was of the opinion that those types should be dragged out the closet.

Singer's pretty openly gay and how X-Men is an allegory for their treatment. (Plus Jews, forgot he was Jewish too.)

17 is close enough to 18 for me to pretend this behavior is okay. Forced sodomy against a 17 yr old man isn't rape rape. He got on that plane what did he expect blergh.

Also can't forget to factor in that a lot of people really don't like Hollywood (or their favorite game music composer) being sullied. I think there was a GAF thread where people were defending Hollywood accounting of all things.  :lol

Necessary conditions for a "rape" to be a rape:

1. It must take place in a dark alley between the hours of 11 PM and 3 AM. Fewer than two incandescent lights per 20 ft may be present
2. The alley in question may not have been visited by the victim more than five times, lifetime
3. The victim must be a woman
4. The victim must be able to pass a field sobriety test and their blood/hair results must come back negative for any illicit materials
5. It must be verified on camera (with sound) that the (potential) perpetrator was rejected no fewer than three times verbally
6. A gun must be used
7. The victim must immediately seeks aftercare
8. The victim may not have spent more than four hours, lifetime, in the presence of her (alleged) rapist

If your rape does not include all of these elements, was it really rape? Ask yourself this: didn't you want it? Deep down, don't you know that you wanted it and are only trying to get out of being a slut now? Or are you just trying to make a quick buck? I rest my case.

Coincidentally this is how you evolve at least like five Pokemon in the X/Y series

Oscar-nominated director Amy Berg (in photo below) has spent the last two years working on a scandalous new documentary about sex abuse in Hollywood that includes allegations about Bryan Singer (above), Variety has confirmed.

Michael Egan, who filed a lawsuit this week alleging Singer raped him as a teenager, has been cooperating with Berg on her documentary.
Quote
It’s unclear if Egan had been interviewed on camera for the film. Amy Berg, who runs Disarming Films, received an Oscar nomination for her 2006 documentary “Deliver Us From Evil,” about sex abuse allegations in the Catholic Church.

The best part is the OP mentions forced sodomy and the first thing some of these chucklefucks do is talk about age of consent laws.

That's nice and all. But the important part here is that I'm still able to be attracted to people under that age without being immediately arrested.

People watch Angry Joe? I can't stand him.

Only good angry joe video is that interview where geoff keighley nearly had him in tears. At that moment i realised that no matter how awful garmes jurnlizm is, the youtube future is infinitely worse.

Let's be clear here, for males "forced" just means you asked them because they can't control themselves, remember how you were at that age:
Quote
My friend is saying there is a big difference between Male Teenagers and Female Teenagers. Also a big difference between a 15 year old vs a 17 year old. But from a males perspective being at that age you just wanna bang anything.

Its hard, on one hand I feel like the law should apply exactly the same whether your a male vs female. But at the same time I remember when I was 17 and hormones going crazy. I almost hooked up with a 21 year old female at 16. To me that would have been awesome, but vice versa it seems weird and creepy. Not sure?

Basically Geoff didn't give him a private sit down hour long interview and Angry Joe wasn't really prepared so Geoff is an asshole and was disrespectful.

It's quite telling that after Geoff leaves Joe and the camera man both discuss how he "came prepared" and "was ready" like he had done all kinds of gaming and Angry Joe research over the weeks beforehand. Yeah, or it's possible that Geoff just remembered he had promised to give him interview time when he saw him standing there and left when he realized the guy had no actual compelling questions just a bunch of endless nitpicks.

I also don't get Angry Joe. Well to be fair, I don't get any of the "I"M YELLING AND BEING ANGRILY OVERBLOWN" shtick stuff that populates Youtube originals. It is just so obviously un-clever.

Yet my real problem is that Angry Joe dosen't offer any interesting insight. In most of the reviews I've seen, he dosen't add much value to the discussion. It's all "THIS GAME IS SO BAD, IT MADE ME WANT TO KILL THIS GAME OR KILL ME! FUCK". No real reason or logical thought seems to be given behind the yelling. So it's kind of a worthless review to me because I don't really get much talk behind "the controls are bad so it's bad" or "the level design is bland and bad". Nothing really biting.

I don't know if it's really fair to give them credit for 100 when one guy is responsible for 77 of them.

But I wonder what the comments say on the ABC article:

Hang on, you're telling me that on a website full of 268,000 people, a whopping nine of those people wound up being murderers? Oh man we better do something. Stormfront must be banned from the internet at once. *rolleyes*

I'm a member of Stormfront and the vast majority of us don't want to hurt black people or any other minorities. We want to live separately from them. Does that make us bad? I don't think so.

9 users out of 268,000? You realize that is less than 0.00003% ?? Actually sounds kinda low compared to statistics based on the general population.

Regardless, Heidi should have a look at a blog called "Charleston Thug Life" - clearly operated by a racist.

Let's compare. 9 users out of 268,000 Stormfronters committed murder (worldwide) in a 5 year period. That is 0.003% of the stormfront population. There have been 34,788 blacks killed by other blacks in the past 5 years. The US black population is 41,412,877. That is 0.084% of blacks that committed murder.

In short, a black person is 28 times (that's 2800%!) more likely to be killed by another black than a Stormfront user.

Now how about the US population on average? There have been 82,500 murders in the US in the past 5 years, and the population is 316,128,839. That is 0.026% of the US population that committed murder. So as you can see, you are 8 1/2 times (850%) more likely to be murdered by the average American than by a Stormfronter.
Math: It's not only for schools anymore.

It is stereotyping and bigotry though. I mean it's not like you can choose to be a fedora wearer or neckbearded or not. Your appearance shouldn't be cause for someone to make assumptions about you.

There's absolutely zero reason to stereotype someone like this just because of his hatwear:

there is something strangely offputting about that dude's hats. too small? perma-tilted? weird mix of tiny lapel and tie with a hat that does not gel?

You can summarize GAF's fashion sense with that one dude who thought he looked good in a black suit with a red shirt. And people defended him after he was called out on it.

So yeah, all of those things are true, but...like they would ever listen. 90% of what that type of person wears is what they think looks cool in anime.
