cosmic you ever gonna try to explain that whole "my friend who draws children being sexually molested just has a quirky fetish" thing? Or also having another friend who is just straight up a pedo? i'll be honest and say i don't think you are actually a pedophile but you are clearly way too deep into the world or whatever and have kinda lost all sense of perspective of how your posts sound.
honestly though, i don't actually want to hear your explanation, this discussion is close enough to watchlist material as is but it shouldn't be confusing why you have this gross ass pedo-apologist rep at a bare minimum
Well, both of those guys were people from college. Haven't seen one of them in years (the strange one). The other was a roommate, but he was a jock and never revealed that except to people very close to him, so it's not like anyone would be able to tell. He's now married and seemingly pretty happy. I have no clue what the other one is doing, but I imagine he's just a shut-in or something.
Also, I misread that post before. All I knew was the guys were into loli/shotacon alongside a ton of other hentai stuff. I never saw any of it, so no idea what it entailed.
As for why I know a lot about this stuff, well it's a few things. My cousin, who I looked up to for a while when I was a kid, got hit with Megan's Law around the time I graduated high school. As you could imagine, I was pretty conflicted and upset over the whole thing and began researching the psychology behind pedophilia and paraphilia in general. At the time, trying to find material that took a stance that wasn't overly negative was tough, and it probably still is barring that article from last year that's led psychologists to look at disorders like that differently.
I ended up talking to my roommate about it a bunch as well, though that was more on the art side of things. Nothing specific about what he looked at of course, just the legality, psychological impact, outlets, the correlation to real cases, etc. He's the one that told me about the Handley case, which I followed and came across that Neil Gaiman quote, which resonated with me pretty well. We had a lot of pretty interesting discussions, and while I didn't agree with him all the time, it was nice to get another perspective on the whole thing since it's obviously a pretty emotional subject for many.
So yeah, that's my reason.
