I'd take GC/PS2 over Xbox/PS2 though.  In terms of exclusives GC wins.

:what

PS2 had RE4, bro.  Cube was basically a Zelda machine.

Unless... you guys seriously LIKED the Prime games?  Holy shitballs.  Didn't know those people actually existed.

Xbox kicks GC's ass in terms of exclusives. Pretty much all GC "exclusives" of note are either a. not exclusive (killer 7, resident evil 4, mgs: twin snakes is a remake of mgs1) or have better versions elsewhere (mario sunshine -> mario galaxy). The main exception is Metroid Prime, maybe Eternal Darkness, and a few others.

Xbox has Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate, Jet Set Radio Future, Otogi 1 and 2, Chronicles of Riddick, Phantom Dust, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Breakdown, Spikeout, Halo 1, Ninja Gaiden Black, and more, combined with the best versions of multi console titles. Most multi console titles during that generation were usually dog shit on the ps2. That's where the Xbox comes in.

I don't take anyone who says the Gamecube was a better system than the Xbox seriously on this matter. I know we all have subjective tastes, but in my experience anyone who says that gc > xbox is either deluded, a weeaboo, or both.

ps2/xbox/gc is the ultimate combo.

I just tried to make lists to prove Arvie wrong, but I decided both systems had a ton of pretty awesome exclusives, half of which I'd forgotten about, so I guess I'll just conclude that unlike this gen, owning all three systems last gen was the smart play.

I can actually get behind that.  I owned all 3 for most of that gen.  This past gen, I owned a 360 for like 9 months.

I guess I get frustrated is because I remember during when Xbox OG was a thing, and all the Japan freaks hated it because it only had shooters and no Japanese games apparently. Shit made me angry and made no sense, then, and especially now.

I respect RE4 and REmake, but I got through all the gamecube titles that interest me in about a year, but I'm still working on Xbox 1 games, despite owning one for the last several years of last gen.  I just got hooked as shit to NG and online fighting games for a few of those years, so I never really branched out.

I remember being excited about Sudeki for some reason  :derp

probably cause there were no JRPGs on the system and that came closest to being one :fbm

Yeah, it's great.  Next gen seems to have fewer exclusives.

Looking back there were maybe five 360 exclusives that I cared about.  There were at least two or three times that for Xbox games.  To be fair, I bought most multiplatform games on 360, and I'm not counting Bayonetta.

The Xbox One Killer Instinct title will be sold two ways. You can buy a “season pass” for the game and get all the characters,

ok, problem solved, no article necessary.  thanks ben.  I said thanks ben.
